This year in sports has been a trip. I’m from Arizona, so I naturally root for the Suns, Cardinals, and the Diamondbacks. However, this year, I found myself rooting for the Phillies, Detroit Lions, Commanders, and the Pelicans…as well as Messi & Argentina…go figure

The stutter step by James Houston was beautiful
I love that there are so many leaders on this team. Doesn’t matter if it’s the prized draft picks in Hutch and Sewell, the former practice squad guy in Buggs, the guy was knocked down the mountain but is steadily finding his way back in Okudah, or the emotional heartbeat of the team in Jamal Williams. I’ve been on sports teams where there are some dudes who just don’t sound believable when they give a speech in front of the team (whether it’s due to lack of production/talent/work ethic). But hearing these Lions pump up their teammates pre-game gave me crazy chills. Awesome to see.

That’s a TEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAM, all these guys have their coach in them. Mistakes happen but watching this shows me that this team is full of warriors, love it.
This is the most united Lions team I’ve ever seen and it does my weary heart good to see it …finish out this season strong, pride and show em how Lions that are in the hunt end up at the show…I can hope
What’s great too is all those great speeches at the beginning our our young guys getting confident and leading this team. We have a great young nucleus of players that will play together for many years to come. We are going to be the new kings of the north next year and for years to come.
Wow nothing better than seeing Okudah take on a leadership role. Confidence is everything at cornerback and he’s gaining it more and more
A lot of the later round players on the Lions getting it done. Brad Holmes has found some pretty dope players that have really made a difference on the team. James Houston is really making the most of the opportunity as well as the kicker we picked up off waivers.
