From the trade talks to MVP again, I dont think the packers can afford to lose him

    Ebune Namata

The only thing pulling him down is one SB win again

    Dan Goodwin

Rodgers is heading to Tampa for his final year.

THE MILWAUKEE BREWERS WILL NEVER WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP

Restructure? That’s funny. Rodgers ain’t Brady LMAO

    Kristin Caudill

Just because idiot media members think he was the MVP doesn’t mean he actually was. With Rodgers, you get a guy who chokes in the playoffs every year because he isn’t actually as good as anyone says. I’m pretty sure the Packers can afford to pay anyone else less than $46 million to not win a playoff game for them next year.

    Marc01

Why? Could it be any worse? Even a perfect regular season record doesn’t make up of not reaching the super bowl…

JahNuhThun Dee The One And Only

What a nice award for the future Broncos starting QB.

    Matt dog420yo

    if the broncos didn’t suck

    Lewis Zwiefelhofer

He’s not going to Denver, he just said this week that he’s sad to see Nathaniel Hackett leave and go to the Broncos. Why would he be sad to see him leave if he had any plans of going to join him? He wouldn’t, he would have said something more along the lines of being excited for Hackett. I’m also sure he doesn’t want to have to deal with the dysfunction and uncertainty of the Broncos ownership right now. All these people that are so sure he’s going to Denver aren’t actually paying attention

    Summer R

@kodak green TOLD YOU HA HA

    Summer R

@kodak green ha ha you thought

    Justin Watson

    Need I say more?

elijah mccourtney

Now he’s has the 2nd most MVPs behind Payton. Well deserved

    Limitedbom

@Bob G He may have won only one superbowl but the mvp award isn’t a career award, it’s the play of the current year. I don’t think he deserved it this year since brady has better stats than him in every category but interceptions but you can’t use him winning one superbowl as an argument.

    Bob G

@Limitedbom I can and I do, but the stats tell it all do they? If so, why is there a voting process at all, just give it to the one with the best stats and have done with it. Its about the complete player, athlete and man, or it should be and Rogers fails that test every year. No way can Rogers be a more valuable asset to any team than Brady, that is pure nonsense

    Limitedbom

@Bob G because how do you base mvp off sats alone? how would you say the stats from a qb is better than a rb?

    Bob G

Big deal, one ring only,. Brady has 7, must work harder. He’s not even in Brady’s league. If you can’t win a number of the big ones, 2 or more, you are rated good, but not great

Shalom Umaga

That was more of a farewell speech!!

THE MILWAUKEE BREWERS WILL NEVER WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP

Rodgers folds in the postseason. Numbers do not lie. It’s funny he’s in the stage with Peyton because Peyton folded in the post season more often than not as well

    Kristin Caudill

Good riddance. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out. Lot of options cheaper than $46 million for guys who can’t make the Super Bowl.

    Bob G

@blue pyro tech well he was more successful wasn’t he?

    D M

Coming from a peyton manning Homer Aaron Rodgers is the best talent at the qb position ever

    Kristin Caudill

@D M Manning went to three Super Bowls and won two of them, while Rodgers was lucky to get to one. He’s way ahead of Rodgers in career stats too. What justification can you possibly have for that statement? If he’s so talented, why are all of his throws constantly under or overthrown and never hitting the receivers in stride? How come he missed two wide open guys on his final throw for a poorly thrown ball to Adams into double coverage? Wouldn’t a talented QB (the “most” talented, as you erroneously say) have completed that pass and actually led his team to the victory? Like Jimmy Garoppolo did? All Rodgers does is run around the backfield and wait for someone to come wide open, and the throw isn’t accurate when he does throw it. Rodgers isn’t talented at all. He’s a charlatan who hasn’t won anything in more than a decade because he constantly chokes, not for any other reason. And you and anyone else who says he’s talented are a moron and completely wrong. You have no justification for your statement and no ability to prove it, because it just isn’t true. He’s a bum, and his record shows it. I don’t want to hear any of this bs that you’re a Manning fan, which I don’t believe. Otherwise you’d know that Peyton was actually one of if not the most talented QBs to ever play, and that Rodgers isn’t fit to carry his jock.

Archersforeal

Peyton giving it to him, like come on how is he not on the Broncos yet

    Aaron Michael

@Dan Goodwin That’s a horrible idea, he wouldn’t want anyone to think he’s stuck in Brady’s shadow. Screw that.

    Dan Goodwin

@Aaron Michael if he doesn’t win the SB with Tampa, then yes, I can see that narrative playing out. However, if Rodgers wins the SB with Tampa and puts up more yards, more TDs and possibly a 3rd MVP, all of a sudden he is re-elevated to equal GOAT, instead of the close second place the way media pundits treat him. It’s all possible.

    Lewis Zwiefelhofer

He’s not going to Denver, he just said this week that he’s sad to see Nathaniel Hackett leave and go to the Broncos. Why would he be sad to see him leave if he had any plans of going to join him? Pedo Bear

Aaron Rodgers, king of great regular seasons…..and then the playoffs happen

    Hidden experiment

@Trev Mac He’s was 32 at that time when he did that,Both Rodgers and Brady are good throwing it im bad weather but most QB’s at age 38 ain’t throwing it like that in that weather in Green Bay,Though Rodgers still choked through.

    Trev Mac

@Hidden experiment Brady at age 42 did – in his last year in New England he threw for more yards than both Rodgers and Mahomes did in 2019

I’ll bet you never saw that coming huh pal?

And that was with no weapons

    Hidden experiment

@Trev Mac Impressive….But was any of the games in New England that season was as cold as the playoff game between the 49ers vs Packers….It was minus 10 in that game.

    blitzy

Special teams lost it for him. Also they were set to steam roll after the first touchdown and then the stupid turnover by the receiver killed all of the momentum and morale for GB it seemed like.

    Trev Mac

@blitzy Rodgers put up 1 TD and for 56 minutes later was a dud (despite for the second year in a row having the bye and home field advantage) nice try pal

Evan Olivas

“I’d like to thank the Green Bay Packers and the fanbase for an amazing 17 years.” Welcome to Denver Aaron!

    Jamie Moore

@Carson if he wants to win he should go to san fran, they have a championship roster. green bay have to make major personal choices this year with their salary
    cap

    kingxerxes_5th !

    He ain’t going no where

    Jamie Moore

@kingxerxes_5th ! bet patriots fans said the same thing about brady or niners fans said about montana

    Lewis Zwiefelhofer

TheLucky_Astronuant

I’m a Green Bay, Packers fan and right now I’m so proud of Aaron Rodgers, and also all the work he put into is just amazing!

    Voltrono

@Standing for Kirk since 2018 – he is under contract, if he leaves it’s because he gets traded

    MM M

@Voltrono by you?? Yeah.. he is th most vulnerable player. Lol rodgers way up your behind his movin yo mouth like a puppet.😎😎🤣🤣🤣

    Diø

@Billy Bob Ik Brady is the golden boy

    Diø

@Billy Bob that’s so wrong. I don’t know where you start to think he’s overrated. Since 2011 Rodgers hasn’t been getting the same amount of hype as a lot of these other guys. There’s no way you see Lamar Jackson and Mahomes and say that Rodgers is overrated. I don’t know if you realize or you just don’t have social media but Rodgers is hated. Go check his twitter rn

kiLLjoy24CALI

Brady: “I am happy to announce that I will be coming back for the upcoming season”

    Exposure

how the hell did brady not get it, he was clear favourite

    Ramon Pilgrim

@Dnooooo I actually watch the game and I watched both of their seasons and Brady outperformed him. People who say that Brady had more weapons foolishly think that abundance equates to performance. Bradys receivers dropped 28 passes in the regular season compared to Rodgers 12 drops, that’s more than twice the amount, also they dropped 8 TD passes in the endzone so Brady could have finished with 51TDs if they actually caught the ball. Also if you actually saw all of Bradys interceptions like I did you would know that 5 of them were on his receivers tipping passes up in the air and a catch and fumble by Darden that was ruled a pick. But even if you dont take those into account his Int per attempt percentage is actually very close to Rodgers even though he threw almost 200 more passes. Also Brady is the only QB ever to be Top 3 in DVOA, DYAR, QBR and Passer rating while throwing over 600 passes. He was top 2 in 3 of these categories. As I said AP is just that, the Press. If you look at the raw stats Brady beats him in multiple categories. His redzone percentage was better, led more scoring drives, had a top 2 scoring offense, had way more yards contributed per drive which mean the offense literally depended on him to move the ball or it wasnt successful. As I would say, if you go just on the press you only get part of the picture, if you go according to all the stats, Brady beat him hands down.

    Ramon Pilgrim

@Dnooooo “Tommy check down” had more 20+ and 40+ attempts and completions than Rodgers so that narrative is pretty much moot.

    Ramon Pilgrim

@Dnooooo I’m not arguing that Rodgers is more skilled, shoot even Brady said that he admires Rodgers skill and accuracy. I’m arguing this season, anyone who does any serious investigation into this years QB stats beyond what the media puts out would see that Brady was far superior than Rodgers this season. I’m arguing from a statistical standpoint not press votes. TBH since that whole debacle with that editor who came out and said that he wouldn’t be voting for Rodgers because of his views on vaccinations and the mandates and whatnot and the MSSM immediate response afterwards I knew this was gonna be tainted because he basically said what they weren’t going to out loud. Rodgers was basically buried by the media when he made those statements but when the editors statements came out all of a sudden the y switched positions. From then I was skeptical of the process because it was going to be more of a PR cleanup more than a legitimate vote. If you look at the difference alot of the players who are media analysts are saying Brady should have won it because of what he did at his age, the man literally dominated every major passing category with guys like Allen, Herbert, Mahomes, Burrow and Rodgers who are arguably more “skilled” than he is. Most TDs most completions, Most TD drives led, best redzone percentage, most yards contributed per drive, matched the best winning record in the NFL, top 3 in DVOA, DYAR, QBR and Passer rating while throwing over 600 passes ( no other QB in history has done this) broke the single season completion record while his receiving core was 10th in the league in drops with 28 (worse than the Giants, btw Rodgers had 12). So yeah you could call this my story, Aaron Fraudgers is a skillful but overly glorified regular season stat padder that chokes in the post season when hes needed most and did not deserve to win this award based on his overall statistical QB measurements in comparison to Bradys.

    kiLLjoy24CALI

Wtf did I say? 🤣 They should’ve just given the MVP

Chico Chris

The way Rodgers was talking about Matt Lafleur you can tell he really likes him as a head coach & as a person 💯 a great Coach & Qb duo

    Peggy O'Neill

    @Bill Goodman Proud of yourself?

    Gc08

    @Kristin Caudill Mad?

    GMC Trucks

Greenbay is my team. All I know is if he leaves it sets back greenbay. Imo they should just give him what what’s and see where it leads.

    MLP Shawn

@Bill Goodman lol there’s actually some theories that Rodgers MIGHT be fru.ity so you’re not wrong haha

Cochise APACHE

Cooper Kupp- 145 receptions for 1947 yards. And he got his team to the Super Bowl.

    Nathan

    Voting is regular season only

    Wings The Last Chair Bender

And was it like 4 INT all season. Rodgers I believe is the only QB to have 5 or less INT in a season.

    Cochise APACHE

And they play Detroit, Chicago and vikings. Weakest division

    Jackson Idonthaveone

    @Chochise APACHE
you could say the same for Brady

Norm L

Nice that they show a clip of Josh Allen, foreshadowing the future MVP for years to come 🙂

    Ryan 204

Joe Cool will have something to say about that, just ask Mahomes.

Jake Ramaker

Most valuable player. Well said humble speech, well deserved

    Kristin Caudill

It wasn’t deserved at all, wtf are you talking about?

    lintlickers

@Kristin Caudill Go take your medicine kiddo, and stop skipping school.

    datboibonnie

@Kristin Caudill I agree Brady played way better than Aaron the wide receivers for the bucks dropped more balls and yet Brady had 45 touchdowns while Rodgers relied on pi’s and Devonte Adams and he still got only 35 touchdowns. so Rodgers didn’t deserve it people just voted for him because of the damn memes and the NFL hyping on Rodgers “last dance”.
Fricking NFL mvp awards being as bs as the ballon’dor.

    PURPLE

@datboibonnie u dont have to defend brady this hard dude. he doesnt know u

    datboibonnie

@PURPLE I’m not I’m explaining why rodgers didn’t deserve mvp at all

DDowson284

As much as I think Qb’s like Rodgers, Brady etc getting the MVP is well deserved, I think it would be nice to see other players like Kupp, defensive players getting more of a look in.

    Knight Light Media

    @Yootoobe cansoogmiballs
    Do you even football?… smh

    Tubamaster2292010

    @Yootoobe cansoogmiballs facts

    Andrew Stevenson

    Śïr Çärtïër

Bro they literally touch the rock even play, they are going to have the most impact one way or another

    Ceasare Johnson

    They got votes…

Paul Byrnes

Congratulations Aaron on being the 2021 NFL MVP.

Caleb q

Can we just call this the “Best Quarterback Award”?

    jack woods

You really believe a WR like say Cooper Kupp was more Valuable than Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady?…Kupp had a Great year but come on

    Path2Greatness Baller Edition

    basically…yes.

    Path2Greatness Baller Edition

@jack woods you really believe he gets an mvp without Adams? yea bud it goes both ways

Knight Light Media

Please don’t go ARod…
But if you do, thank you for everything. And even if you never get that next Ring, thank you for all the incredible jaw dropping comebacks, the last minute victories, the spit in the face of the naysayers on the occasions you were able to offer it up, the game winning drives, the near game winning drives, the fail Mary that we all know is called that bc of the failure of the replacement refs, all the exciting playoff runs, and even in defeat, we thank you for all the intense wtf moments that sent us home from the playoffs each year outside of 2010… bc it’s better to have lost than to not have danced at all…
You’re the greatest in my eyes, even if I’m overturned upon official review in the replay booth…
#12 4ever!!!!

Phon Seng

He won so much because he plays it safe and when the playoff comes you can’t play safe and that’s what he does and he loses every-time in the playoffs

Elfie

NFL couldn’t have executed this introduction for Aaron better. Amazing passes on the screen behind him, the epic music, and Peyton Manning announcing it. Perfect.

darla richards

Well deserved win! Congrats Aaron! See you next season!
