As much as I’d like to see rodgers get another title I also don’t like being a fan that has to eat their words later. So I’ll sit back and watch and see what happens because alot of fans thought we’d go all the way last year and look what happened. I’ll just watch the season unfold one game at a time.

Nah the defense making big plays (INT and safety which was the play of the game) while the offense found their groove was the most effective defense of the game. Did we already forget the offense couldn’t score on 3 plays from the 1 yard line?

@Branden joseph Net points is how many points you give up on D and how many points you score directly with the D. The D gave up 10 and scored 2 in the first half. That difference is 8 net points the offense had to make up. It makes a difference if the O only scored 7 points. It determines how many points your O needs to win the game.

@IHCTerra I don’t think it is very pointless to bring up. They started every possession with a 3 score lead and ended every possession with a 2 score lead. They were scoring long touchdown drives in under two minutes. Green bays offense was running longer 4 minute TD drives. But if that offense went stale, that defense was in trouble. The vikings scored 21 points in 5 minutes and 15 seconds. An average of 1 min and 45 seconds each drive for long TD drives. That’s miserable. That doesn’t include the other two drives in the 1st half that took almost no time as well when the defense wasn’t in prevent. To insinuate that it isn’t the least bit concerning would be dismissive at best. You mention an average of giving up 22 points a game. They just gave up 21 points in 5 min and 15 seconds in the 4th quarter.

You are complaining about garbage time. It is a garbage argument.

@IHCTerra that garbage time looked just like the score before halftime and their first drive too. That must be garbage time as well.

Would you be happy with that defense against kansas city?

@Branden joseph If our offense is matching them score for score in the 4th quarter and we have a minimum of 17 point every time the D took the field, I’d be ecstatic.

Trough 3 quarters, I’d take our D and the 10 points they gave up plus the 2 they scored and the INT that set up another TD for our offense.

The 4th quarter was meaningless. Garbage time stats are for garbage arguments.

​ @Evan Shanley I’m looking at it on how almost every WR probably looks at it. If it touched my hands I would have expected myself to catch it. My QB put it in a spot where it was possible and that’s all he should have to do. If every throw was supposed to be perfect, being a WR wouldn’t be difficult now would it? The ball is being thrown away from the defenders so it won’t be intercepted, but in a position where it should have been caught. If it touches your hands you should catch it.

Julick Ok, think of it this way. If your qb threw a ball and you had to reach out to catch it and it just barely scraped your fingertips, should you have been able to catch that? Also, I’m not saying that Rodgers has to throw perfectly, but he shouldn’t have to make the receivers do most of the work either.

@Evan Shanley If you’re not saying he has to throw it perfectly then what were you originally complaining about? Honestly neither of us know what all went down exactly. He could have overthrown it, MVS could have delayed on the route, defender could have gotten away with a small hold somewhere in the route where it threw off the timing, we don’t know. So let’s agree to disagree. He should have caught it in my opinion, but MVS is an extremely inconsistent receiver so it didn’t shock me that he didn’t catch it.

This might be unpopular, but I think Jaire needs to step up. He is great at getting huge plays at perfect times, but then it feels like every other play he’d be torched by a WR. Maybe the prevent defense was a part of it, however I feel like I saw it a lot last year two (such as the game against dallas, got a key INT, but was torched by Coop for 229 yds). He’s a very exciting player, but unnervingly inconsistent.
