We have faith in you AG!

    Dylan

    No we don’t

    PeroJunak

    Why? based on exactly what?

    Codabear1981

@45k AG the one out there missing tackles, blowing coverage, no he is not….outside of 2 or 3 defensive players, they don’t have any talent on that side of the ball

Cee Bell

we cannot turn our backs on a organization during the rebuilding process lets go AG

    Heavysoldjier Gaming

Agreed its a rebuild with a young defense
Now if this doesn’t improve and we see the same next year then I understand looking for a change in coaching on defense

    PeroJunak

@Heavysoldjier Gaming 4 games in and AG has gotten it all COMPLETELY wrong. Not even close.

    Cee Bell

@Tuna Sauce yes, i agree but things don’t get bad overnight and sure cannot get better that way either. Support goes a long way.

    Cee Bell

@Heavysoldjier Gaming player development is important. the pro level is completely different from college we need at least 2-3 years with everyone healthy. Then we can point fingers if we think that’ll help

    Tuna Sauce

@Cee Bell they will always have my support, the unfortunate result of being a FANatic. And I agree that this will take time. So what is the measurement to succeed? I say it’s improvement. I have not seen that the last two weeks on def. To me, that means they haven’t lived up to their responsibilities. But, I’m not calling for anyone’s job, yet. I need to see the improvement though.

Bryan Smith

AG has got to go!

straight back to the drawing board as the defensive coordinator for another 5 years, please! Keep this man!

    Dylan

    Why

Jaylop97

How did no one ask him about play calling, corner situation, safeties, and awareness. Those issues need answers or acknowledgement.

Found Scott

Ask him about his play predictability, and leaving CBs out to dry with no safety help.

Solo Mo

Just make the defense below average and we good 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

Gerard Schneider

Lions have great coaches, things are going to gel soon and then watch out! Still the youngest team in the league.

Daniel Griffiths

The offense is the best in franchise history, all the defense needs to do is make 1-2 stops per game and we’re winning the majority of our games. Just start by getting one stop,
That should be the goal for the defense next game.
One stop.

LDVTennis

Life is strange. I am expecting this offense to create multiple turnovers this week.

todd grant

He can talk all day, in the end he has to produce, regardless who’s on the field!!

    Codabear1981

not sure if you knew this but AG retired years ago….he calls the plays, players have to make plays

    CJ

@Codabear1981 His play calling was suspect as well. 3rd and 16, play got called dead for the clock. he came out in the same exact play and the Seahawks admitted after the game they knew exactly what it was and exploited it for a TD.

Crew Dog

You have to love AG, no way around it. You also have to question if he has the ability to actually do this job. Just because he is an awesome man doesn’t mean he is an awesome defensive coordinator. We still have to give him the season because we are still rebuilding and he deserves this opportunity. What a comeback story he has set himself and the D up for. I’m still sipping my Koolaid. I think I am also fighting an ulcer.

    mreloo

The offense is kind of like a tums….sort of…

Mark Learst

Changing AG won’t fix the problem today or tomorrow, there’s some play makers but from my point of view the injuries are just as bad as the defense ranking. Even Pete (Seattle) was dumbfounded by the amount of injuries in that one game and the Lions as a whole. Before I give up on AG, I really feel this defense is showing the woes of a very young defense. Also, there’s a few on defense that have just not delivered grit, as they still have the SOL mentality. M-Rodgo has been one of the few that are delivering, Hutch on the other hand is getting shown out by a 6th round draft pick, I still feel Hutch will be a somewhat bust, love the attitude but it’s not making it to the field.

John Thrasher

The next few weeks will tell the tale. Rooting for you, your coaches and players big-time, AG!

Happybirthday213

His comment about the chiefs defense was a good point. Let’s see how this defense looks towards the end of the season. Also he’s worthy of criticism

Dan D.

Man, I really like AG as a person who seems like a good man with a good head on his shoulders. But he has got to pull a 180 real quick with getting this defense working, to the point where we’re not in the bottom of the league. We’ve got one of the best offenses in our history but it isn’t enough to actually win games because of what the defense gives up.

William Alberts

First and second year players all over. Patience. 4 to 5 years to fix this.

Billy and the southern nation

I, Billy–First Of His Name, Dweller Of The Southern Nation & The Eternally Dammed Lions Fan–must lend support during these troubling, injury laden times. FORWARD.

Mike McNally

I hope he turns this thing around I like him n though he did a hell of a great job last season

P-DUB

I think he is a high character coach but I also think he knows his job is on the line as well. I do not know if the Lions defense is this bad due to coaching or inexperience or lack of personnel in the position. When the Seahawks were near the goal line a Receiver was open and I did not see a CB covering the Receiver at all. They do not seem to be able to stop the run so I do not know if that is a personnel issue or an execution issue or both. I thought the Lions made drafts moves on the defense this off season did I miss something? Also, is this a head coach issue as well? Right now, with their record and the number of games left they have an opportunity to still be in something.

Steve W.

I hope he gets it done. AG is a good dude man!
