If Paton’s smart he’ll work out a long term deal with Teddy Two Gloves. Something like 5 years 25-30 miliion or so. Gives them a cushion of decent QB play and allows for development of younger players. And at worst he’s a great backup QB.
And Teddy would probably take the long term deal just to have some stability.

He’s a good player but I’m still betting on Lock beating him out for starting QB, I’ve heard he’s gotten a lot better in the offseason.
@Tom H Locks? Yeah he didn’t play much, but provided a change a pace when he came in and won some games. I was hopeful this past season that he would pick up where he started off, but that didn’t happen.
I was already in on Teddy, in whatever role, knowing that he is going to be a net positive either way. As a starter he’ll give you stability, an acceptable floor, ball safety, and leadership. As a backup he’ll give you professionalism, a solid mentor for Lock, plan B if Lock stumbles (whether due to injury or simply not being up to the task), a trade chip if the Rodgers trade actually manifest.

@brando simms I think he played injured most last season and soldiered through it .but we shall see what happens . I would say the Texans game was far more than a change of pace. Good thing they didn’t get rid of Elway or Garrett bolles after a bad season.
