49ers should be good in the long run,same story last year except they started 2-4 last time and were 1 int away from a SB,once cmc gets used to the offense and the defense gets some line players back they’ll be good
not a top team. they have the worst coach in the league at making 2nd half adustments (0-30 when down by 5+ points going into the 4th q) with an outdated offense and a subpar qb. they can make a deep run but they will never beat the chiefs or bills
@oozie nein millimeeda Agreed. They like to talk about Shanahan’s great offensive mastermind. I don’t see it, terrible in the red zone. Great team for a field goal kicker, you’ll get plenty of work. The defense usually bails out the mediocre offense, never the other way around. This game, defense was bad, so lights out.
O line needs to get it together along with waiting for full d health

Hindsight is 20 20 , it wasnt outlandish considering that the chargers on paper should be elite, the broncos on paper should be elite and the raiders signed/traded for the best WR in the game right now. I think shes doing a good job. So much hate for no reason, have an open mind instead of just shitting on someone who made a claim based on the info at the time.
It’s not just Jimmy G. He’s def not the best, but a good coaching staff would be able to refine his game and hide his weaknesses well enough with other “pieces” on the field. Think Carroll with Russell Wilson’s weaknesses while he was at the Seahawks.
The main issue is the coaching staff. They have such firepower on both sides yet haven’t consistently shown they can effectively utilize the sheer talent. They don’t have the creativity or experience to react when a mastermind like Andy Reid is the opponent. Overall we need a better coaching staff. Shannahan is good but he caved in critical games.. way too often.
On a side note the O line needs to get better. With an “ok” QB like Jimmy G you need a rock solid o line but it caved too often Sunday. The D is good and aggressive but needs more discipline against penalties and need a strong overall leader. Individually they are talented as hell but doesn’t gel when big plays and decisions on field are needed.
The thing is, we demand too much things from Jimmy and it’ll never be enough. Best defense in Nfl to cover him and he still can’t be creative.
I think he’s trying to be too much like Tom Brady and not get injured. Probably knows what happens to people after repeated impact to the head. But that’s how it’s going to be, his health is more important than risking a win.
O-line was beat! Our run game was mediocre and obvious the defense was burnt like toast. Our receivers where dropping catches! Bad play calling from the coaches . The fault goes to everyone’s jimmy played good except for that one pick
