1. I agree with Romo, we need more of that ’85 defensive front that we saw against the Steelers. Maybe, if I keep saying this long enough it will become true. I hope to see it against the Vikings.

2. I’ve always associated “diehard” with a high level of love/care for an IP or team. But, not necessarily at an irrational level. It seems that Nick necessarily associates diehard with irrational. Personally, I think a fan wanting a high draft pick, or numerous picks, to make a below average team better for the long run would fall into the “diehard” category. That is, instead of a below average team winning an unrespected division and automatically knocking themselves down to #18 in the draft. At #4 or #5 you could take an exceptional player or trade down for more picks. I believe “diehard” is a big tent. I essentially agree with Dave.

I’ve been loving and cheering on the Cowboys since they played in the Cotton Bowl…so forever!! It’s really upsetting to tell us if we want our team to FINALLY get a high draft pick in every round, because it doesn’t come around very often, that we aren’t real die hard fans!! It doesn’t matter who wins the NFC East, they will be a one and done…and for what?!?! Just to say we are NFC East champs, that doesn’t really say much this year and then we would be picking lower, as usual. I don’t cheer them on to lose, but if they lose this year, It’s okay. I gave this year to MM since the beginning… But don’t tell me I’m not a die hard fan and basically don’t love my Cowboys!!

Been a fan scince 1975 and couldn’t agree more with you. We need to stock up on some good young players on defense. Hoping we have a top 5 pick so we can trade back and get more picks .

Andre Strums

I’m with Dave. A real fan is someone who sticks with the team through thick and thin. Because let’s be real, the Cowboys always give us reasons to switch teams but true fans would never think about doing that. With that being said just because I’m loyal to my team doesn’t mean I’m gonna sit back and keep watching them be awful or mediocre when they can have franchise saving picks and we don’t have to keep watching them be that way for more than 1 or 2 years. Being delusional doesn’t make you a true fan. Sometimes you just need to recognize when your team stinks and can do better.

Jared Grimes

1974 was my introduction to America’s team 💙💙💙

Every game i watch, I innately want them to win. But even last week, right about the start of the 4th quarter, I thought to myself “ok, this has been fun, but its time to figure out how we lose this game now” 🤣. I think the difference is, cowboys fans will always believe next year can be our year. And if a pile of draft picks can do that in exchange for losing this year (already lost), then im sold.
