Goff wasn’t great but overall this loss isn’t on him. Our O Line was awful in the first half and didn’t give him anytime.
@Jeff Trulli the coach didn’t help the O line out. A high school coach knows to call a WR or RB screen when they are getting zero blitzed every play. No excuse for the play calling in the 2nd half.
@Seany Redd The problem now is becoming we’re hearing the same thing repeated by McVay that we heard from Fisher. Fisher: “We’ll take a look and get things fixed”. McVay: “I have to do a better job coaching and putting these guys in a position to win”. Coach speak is one thing, but IF McVay can’t learn to adapt as a game progresses, for all his genius he’s just a younger Fisher. Additionally, until Goff can learn to handle being uncomfortable/rushed in the pocket, the offense will have problems. Every time we play Seattle our pass rush is all over Wilson, and while he may get sacked and throw incomplete passes, you never see him panic the way you see Goff do.

I’m officially off the Goff train. I get the play calling wasn’t the best. I get the OL didn’t play their best. But this fifth year QB’s terrible pocket awareness and unnecessary risky play continues to REGRESS! Two INT’s (should’ve been more) and two sack fumbles were embarrassing. Goff can do all the soul searching he want’s over the bye week, but sorry chief, I just don’t think Goff has what it takes to get this offense over the hump.

@Sonny Rodriguez I get it, our O-Line hates getting 0-blitzed. I can accept Goff freaking out. I can accept Goff not finding his man. I can accept Goff making incompletions.
However, what I will not accept and will continue to criticize Goff on is his pocket presence, because it is non-existent. This is his 5th year in the NFL, and he still doesn’t have a mental clock that goes off when he is in trouble.

Long time rams fan here and what I saw was our quarterback sucked he was responsible for the loss ! He and he alone played like he didn’t know what he was doing slow lazy throws not getting rid of the ball fast enough held on to the ball way too long and tried to force the ball in a pack of defender’s didn’t check down fast enough ! He looks like he did his first year with the team ! No excuse for giving the game away !

Why wasn’t McVay doing any motion, play action, jet sweeps, or screens like he did with the bears? It almost looks like he wasn’t even trying in this game. Like he wanted Miami to win. Also when the run is working, he goes away from it… Why??? Is he doing this on purpose?
