First pass fumble

Dolphins: well shoot

    Marketing Heavy Duty Tow Companies

That first pass? Yeah the offensive line did a hell of a good job blocking didn’t they? I believe any quarterback would fumble the ball there after they are being pile drove into the turf.

    Blair B

@Ian Harper lol , no commas or periods

    Max Barclay

@BadWolf your right! Tua didn’t play as well of a game as I thought but he’s getting comfortable in the pocket he’s only setup for success, defence played a hell of a game

    Aggroastro89 ttv

Lol I just meant that it was his first past attempt

    Blair B

@Aggroastro89 ttv lol sal good bro, im just teasin ya.. sh*t happens my g

TuaOurSavior #FinsUp

Showed great accuracy (tight window throws to Parker and Grant on TD drive). I counted only 2 off target throws and 1 bad decision (Aaron Donald fumble). The screen to Parker and the drag to Grant. Preston had 3 drops, Gesicki drop, Smythe drop and Gaskin 2 drops.

    Rob Hestar

@RUIZ LA RAMS He made a great throw to gesicki that he shoulda caught but the defender made a better play. That was really the only long ball they let him throw.

The play calling was awful.they played it way too safe.Doesn’t help when your Dline was constantly embarrassing our oline.there’s a reason ppl fear your Defense.

    Nicholas Shaw

@J Thebox210 I think the dolphins would have still won with Fitz as the starter, but that doesn’t mean I don’t think That isn’t showing amazing talent this game. It’s just that if the receivers were able to drop the balls that much with the Dolphins still winning, then I don’t see how Fitz wouldn’t have been able to be serviceable to win. Also I do don’t think Fitz is better I just think they win either way. Also wtf is wrong with the Dolphins receivers. They could have blown out the Rams even more if they just caught the damn ball.

    Brian G

@RUIZ LA RAMS I agree just one Qb wasn’t playing safe other was

    RUIZ LA RAMS

@Brian G well one was playing from behind the other one had a light day… he will be forced to do his job eventually… then we will see what he can do …

    Matt

@RUIZ LA RAMS Fitz has had some good games but constantly makes poor decisions and is just not consistent enough. We could have easily had Fitztragic yesterday

Jonathan King

He will get better and better the more comfortable he gets in this offense.

Edit: Didn’t know he had this many doubters, instead of hating why not wish the best for that young man? Im a Giants fan who could give 2 booties about Miami but it’s what i’m doing damn get that hate out your heart😑

    T Rich

@Hector Guzman Gomez fitz won 2 games against teams with the combined record of 1-14. Tua first game was against aaron donalds rams. Context

    mikhael sündin

    He sucks start fitz

    Evan White

    @hawk Vols still broke Tua.

    SW Productions

@32toLife Because his receivers were dropping open passes. Watch the video before speak

    T Rich

@K Will imo the nfl isn’t about how you start but how you progress. Lots of players have good rookie years and regress. I’m sure you can name 10 off top. Russ and Brady were game managers their first few yrs. So its comical when you look at other rookies and say he’s a future star and look at Tua first game and say he’s a below average player who won’t last 3 yrs

Stfu Fortnite khed

Notice how dolphins are Better than the pats

    Peanut Man

    Cam is trash

    overlap618

Bro- in all fairness Miami has been drafting near the top of the draft for the last twenty years while New England has been in the bottom 1/3 of picks. Come on.

    Infinity Gauntlet

@jbird1777 back to the kitchen you go woman

    Luke Sparkman

@overlap618 top of the draft? The dolphins are notorious for going 8-8 and drafting middle of the pack. thats always been the problem they never sucked enough

    DAGO boy

@Jack Harkins in 5-10 years Bellichick will be retired then you guys will be AFC east doormats once again!

EmiGzz8a

He will get better and better. He went against a tough defense and will get used to the offense

    CooCast

look at 0:25, Williams was slow and had zero effort, most receivers get under that dime, he also had back to back drops that game.. idk why

    Pastrami Chili Cheese Sandwich

Playcalling was super conservative the whole game too. Can’t wait to see how he looks when they open up the playbook a little more over the next couple games.

    You Tube

He looked liked a scared rookie to me. Unbiased

    Antonio Aranas

@You Tube He was playing Aaron Donald

    clownin dan

He’s gonna get some recievers killed out there.

I.F.O

4 drop passes but its alright. Let’s gooooooo. “W” that’s all it matters

    miami sports fan

exactly tua could have had a way better game and extend the drives if they didnt drop

    T Rich

There were a couple of 3 and 1 run stuffs, back to back wildcat loss of yards which stalled a drive, and a lot of vanilla play calling

    HKT 12

@miami sports fan also those are some bad play calls from the OC. Let the man sling it!

    Steven Samsel

@HKT 12 they couldn’t because Tua only had 2 seconds to throw

    Brian G

And they already had 28 points at that point they were tryna waste time

Sam Slimming

2014 the last time rams lost to a rookie qb and tua did it on his debut

    Grand Admiral Thrawn

    Dolfins defense won that game

    Sam Slimming

@Grand Admiral Thrawn I’m not saying they didn’t I’m just stating a stat

    Pepe Garcia

Sam Slimming who was that QB?

    Sam Slimming

@Pepe Garcia Jimmy garoppolo I think

    Sparky Pluggs

@Grand Admiral Thrawn dolphins defense won every game

K1NG S1MBA

How’s they go from 7 to 21 without him throwing a pass?

    BikBokBoi

ST TD and DEF TD and a rushing TD

    Kevin McNeill

    There was a punt return.

    CÅDÅN Go HÅLOS

    DEFENSE BABY!!

James Koo

Is it me or why everyone’s hating tua? Wtf?

    hawk

@Shortstop 643 so this is your assignment after one game … since you know so much why don’t you go to bama beat out a 5 star qb in bryce harper because he is next up and show us how to make it in the NFL with no preseason and thrown in the fire against Aaron Donald and that defense

    Slim Brady

    @hawk *Bryce Young

    RG TIKO

@Ryu Ken he didn’t suck it’s his first game and he played a good team any nfl wouldn’t say that he sucked that game

    Nicholas Shaw

@Tone Mack I agree that people should want to see him do great, but all I’ve seen being said in the comments is people saying “why does everyone want to see him fail?” With no comments giving a hint that they wanted him to fail. I’m just very confused looking at this comment section.

    Sau Tafao

    Yup

Apollo Mayaimi

Tua did a good job those damn receivers need to step up

    Xyrus Golaub

    @Nete G no he’s not wtf 💀

    NapkinsNuts

    @Nete G ok Nate

    Adele Vaitagutu

They did on purpose? Maybe the receiver got bay out or its a set up plan by the receiver snd fitzbatrick

    Charles Groebner

I wouldn’t really be concerned over it. They have the Texans first round pick this year which I think they will most likely use on Chase or Bateman.

    Christian M

Parker is good but got like no targets other then the TD 💀

KAEP

Y’all saying those receivers, but I know y’all ain’t talking about Parker. Did y’all see that td catch

    WeHaveTheMeats

    @C.J flacko u mad bro

    Jaxon Flannery

Pass interference, they would’ve scored anyways and they’re talking abt Preston lol he dropped the ball like 5 times😂 and gisecki almost caused an interception on a play where the ball was in his hands and all he had to do was hold on lol but yes good catch by Parker that’s why he’s one of the best in the league

    Liam King

    chill w/ the y’alls

    KAEP

    @Liam King, y’all y’all y’all y’all y’all y’all y’all y’all y’all y’all y’all y’all y’all y’all y’all

    D J F

Tua being left handed could be a factor in those drops

Guillermo Garcia

Does anyone else think the receivers didn’t practice enough for the lefty spin on the ball

    Boris Bornakiss

actually Tim Hasselbeck of ESPN said in the pre game discussion that there is more attention and emphasis given to catching the ball from lefties because of the spin compared to right handers that, according to him, you could catch on the fly more easily

    the honkster kaduneda licky dang

I tried telling that to my coach a long time ago and he said I come up with some of the best excuses he’s ever heard

    Shane Klopstock

I was just gonna comment the same thing! I swear, half these throws, I was saying to myself, “the receiver is in the right place for a righty.” Once they get used to it, his completion percentage will go up

    David The Kid

He takes first team reps with first team receivers. Shouldn’t be an issue

    Shane Klopstock

@David The Kid They spiral the opposite way, and they come out a good few yards different. If it wasn’t a problem, then Jerry Rice wouldn’t have had his equipment guys all start throwing to him left handed the second Steve Young was named starter. and actually, he wasn’t consistently getting first team reps until last week. So, in reality, the first team guys have really only had two weeks to figure it out. Not saying that Tua didn’t miss some throws, but a lot of these drops looked like the guys weren’t used to a lefty

Alexander Guy

A lot of those weren’t on tua. The receivers just dropped the ball

    The Closet QB

@Alexis Guy lol. I actually just posted a video where I break down all his passes. Go check it out and tell me who didn’t watch the game.

    Alexis Guy

@The Closet QB dude. posting a video about breaking down highlights doesn’t make you an expert. It just means that’s your opinion and nothing more. 5 people can watch the same play and all might have a different opinion.

    Adele Vaitagutu

    They did it on purpose

    HKT 12

@The Closet QB who tf do you think you are? Stephen A?? Stay in that closet!!

    benny pitt

Tua’s ball placement was horrible, his timing is all outta wack. That could be 1 of 2 things, 1) he needs a lot more time to find chemistry with his receivers and get the timing right or 2) his mechanics need rebuilding. If it’s Number 1 then ok, that is something that time and work will correct but if it’s number 2…. it’s a waste of a top 5 pick but seeing how this is his first start in how many months… and 1st Pro start I tend to lean on it being number 1.

I only saw 1 good aspect of Tua today, his leadership and how the team rallied around him and showed him support, his play needs work but his character seems to be top notch.

SH

Tua did what he needed to do, receivers let him down a few time, overall good job LETS GOO!!

    Jeff Mendoza

Another City and Fins fan?!?! We must be going to the Super Bowl
and winning the Champions League soon!

    eliott970

@William Carpenter Burrow and Herbert both came out the gate looking like competent veteran QBs. Tua came out looking like a below avg QB. Watson and Mahomes also came out the gate looking like stars.

He don’t look as good without throwing to 4 1st round caliber WRs with absolutely no pass rush.

    William Carpenter

@eliott970 my dude, he just started his first game coming off a hip injury. He threw accurate passes despite being pressured by one of the best pass rushes. You bring up Watson and Mahomes as if Watson didn’t have Hopkins to throw to and Mahomes had a full season and off season to be groomed to be the starter. Tua is going to be fine, his receivers dropped alot of balls but he still stood in there and didn’t make any reckless plays.

    eliott970

@William Carpenter I’m just saying he’s a distant 3rd to the other top rookie QBs. He better hope the dolphins don’t get the #1 pick.

    William Carpenter

@eliott970 this is just his first start. And no way they’re taking another QB next year especially since Houston will probably win more than enough games.

Richard Wolfe

Dudes need to learn how to catch a lefty..he is awesome..they will come together nicely with the d.

Mad Justice

His receivers dropped 10 passes. They better get accustomed to left handed QB’S.

    Colin Barlow

    Lol no they didn’t.

Marketing Heavy Duty Tow Companies

Well at Alabama we had receivers that could catch the ball. I guess I was being naive to think any NFL receiver could catch a pass that hit him right in the hands but apparently that’s not a given. Nice first start King Tua…. you can’t throw them and catch them.

    Daniel Cain

Alabama receivers were arguably better than these guys lol

    Cheese Boi

@Daniel Cain 100%. He had Henry Ruggs, Jerry Jeudy, Jalen Waddle and Devonte Smith to throw to.

kevin perry

Flores showing his intuition, dropping Fitz because he knew he had the Rams number.

Dan Thomas

Preston williams basically dropped every pass. 🙄🙄

    Nete G

Man lol and gave up on the deep ball

    Cory Moore

    He will snap next game

    Sparky Pluggs

@Nete G I was wondering why he didn’t fight to get underneath that deep ball as if he didn’t care or wanted it. Thought only I saw that

    Nete G

@Sparky Pluggs He was like oh well whatever…like dude c’mon

JAMsterWRX

Not a phins fan, but Tua is a beast and I hope he takes his career a very long successful way
