@Owen O’Connor I think AB will probably just be given a shot to prove that he can still play without off the field issues and get a contract from someone else next year. He probably won’t have big stats unless Evans or Godwin go down. Evans is still pretty hurt, so maybe they will rest him when AB comes in. I don’t imagine he will hurt that locker room too bad though. He views Brady like a dad

Exactly and when someone gets hurt, which is inevitable, we have another pro bowler to throw in. If he plays to win, and not worry about stats, he’s gonna fit right in here I think. Just hope he has learned his lesson that he isn’t a football god and the league will move on without him if he doesn’t act like a normal player.

I’m not a huge football fan – live in tampa. But when I saw how Bellichek and the Pats treated Brady after all his years I just want to see him win to rub it in their faces. It stinks to work so hard for so many years and not feel valued for your contributions

In all fairness, he was looking not so good during week 1. I think we all had over-expected Brady to just come out of the gate and automatically click with his guys. I think these game-time losses they’ve suffered, and difficult times have done wonders to try and help Tom get in gear and get the rest of his guys to that championship level. I really wanted to see Brady do well with his new team, and this game was a beauty to watch from both sides of the ball. Go Bucs!

Mike needs to get some love in this offense. You can’t expect him to just fill right in when he’s been averaging 2 targets a week. He used to be top dog in Tampa Bay. Now he’s a wr3/4 at best, statistically wise. Hate to say it but even selfless players can get sick of getting left out. He thinks of himself as a clear cut wr1 (which he is). If he’s not going to be used in this offense, it just hurts his career even more. Wouldn’t be surprised if this keeps up he’s gonna want to be traded. Since when has Evans finished the game with 2 receptions 37 yards consistently? Give mike the ball, just give him a chance honestly. Ofc he doesn’t seem happy, Brady is throwing the ball 40+ times and the bucs are dropping 40+, yet mike is getting 2 targets?? Lol this dude is an all pro wr, his best talent is jumping up and getting those 50/50 balls. Hate to see it and yeah maybe Mike will let it slide this year, but I can’t see him being happy about this long term.

When you say overall, isn’t that supposed to include, preparation, poise, dedication, leadership, IQ, heart etc… ? I don’t think you can say anyone is better “overall” without including this stuff.

I can name several QBs that I think are way more gifted from a talent perspective but it has been proven that talent alone could never win for as long at the level Brady does. For what Brady lacks in athleticism and overall talent he makes up for in Love, dedication IQ, leadership skills, communication, decision making and technique especially pocket manipulation. Brady has the best footwork in the pocket by far even at 43. But what I saw Dan Marino do and Aaron Rodgers they can make things happen because of their talent alone. Patrick Mahomes is great great talent too but I feel like The Chiefs would have had the same result if they drafted Deshaun Watson instead. I think he is special but until he starts having pieces move in and out year after year and keep winning over a sustained period of time he is not in the discussion yet but he is on a great start. Joe Burrow is on a team with a ton of holes too but he is absolutely a contender in future years as a real competitor against anyone depending on how the Bengals draft and play free agency.
