I thought Patricia actually coached a great game here for once, and made the right calls. I disagree with them not kicking the FG at 7-7 but he trusted his D to get the ball back and they didn’t. Lions are showing flashes of improvement in all areas. Special teams is always extremely good the past few years. And as inconsistent as the play-calls can be, the only way this team can win when it matters – for once – is to run the ball consistently and not rely on Stafford to throw 40-50 times and I thought everyone would understand that but maybe not.
The biggest thing holding this team back right now is the defense, and that’s where the biggest flashes of improvement are coming from. Pass D is still pretty porous, but the D-line got some pressure and stopped the run. This team is impossible to figure out but games like this give me a bit of hope. ATL was 1-5 but they were a very dangerous 1-5 not too different from DET in that respect. Unfortunately for ATL their blown lead trend continued and the Lions’ exorcised a demon or 2.

They havnt made the right hire since they took over the team and i dont think there gonna do it now. I almost rather let patricia finish out his contract and see if he can figure the job out. Either way this franchise is screwed unless they get ONE hire right for once and thats a good GM then let that GM bring in there own coaches, scouts,etc and the fords just gotta stay out of the way.

was seeing if anyone else noticed this. the spotting was terrible all game. they gave ATL a first down earlier in the game that was clearly short. The officiating was bad all around.
This is so stereotypical lions…give up a lead, keep game close, Stafford wins game on 2 minute drive. One second to go, Stafford throws sidearm into the end zone lol.
It’s like damn near every time they win, they do it via two minute drill…td pass with one second to go lol.

Great blocking by the O line on that last drive, those guys are playing great, this might be the best Lions O line I ever seen!!!! I’m excited to see it at full strength with Dahl back at LG and Big V at RT even though Crosby is playing his way to get a nice contract at the end of the season!!!!!

Look closely at Stanford’s arm angles when he throws those passes. It’s amazing the throws he makes around guys, if Mahomes made these the league would go crazy.

It’s a stupid rule. It’s specifically stated you cannot take off your helmet for celebrations.

that’s one of the reasons i like college more. i feel like the commentators are always more impressed with everyone because college kids are trying to prove themselves so they leave it all on the field.

Anybody else notice at 0:54 when Golladay caught it he was at the 8 yard line but after the “review” that shouldn’t have been allowed anyways because the ball was already snapped and spiked they placed it at the 11 yard line?
