Without OBJ, Baker gets the ball out quicker. He doesn’t panic in the pocket while waiting for him to get open. He plays free and easy, he had great touch on some of those throws in the red zone. Rookie Baker is back, I can feel it!

    Agree 1,000,000%. Sometimes star players put too much pressure on the team to make use of them. I know that sounds crazy, but sometimes better a team with solid talent that’s pretty equal than to have one stand above the others. Again, no fault of Odell’s for being so talented. It’s just a matter of how the team responds.

    It also makes the reticence to have Higgins in there full time all the more maddening. I wouldn’t wish OBJ’s injury, but it may end up being more conducive to team play. No fault of Odell’s, but it’s only natural to try and feed your stars. With a more level talent pool, Mayfield may flourish more often. Well….look what happened yesterday in quarters two through four.
