Let’s give credit where credit is due, 49ers defense is hammered with injuries and they played great today. Also, Jimmy G did good too.

@Andre Nelson tosses and short passes. His longest pass was to 11 and it was almost incomplete because he led the ball out of bounds instead of over Brandon’s left shoulder. Most of his passing yards come from YAC, not Air Yards
@Luke Saier OH yeah,even in a blow out win his lack of passing TDs and two INTs makes it clear why the high brass is still not sure he is the long-term answer. He seems to be moving better now that he took that #@$%^ knee brace off but he’s going to have to ball out the rest of the year to make his case to remain the franchise guy.
@My Team Over Yours Yep, I said something similar above. It made no sense to trade JG and keep TB only to let TB walk in FA a few years later especially when the Pats went 12-4 and got the playoffs the previous year. I’m not Pats fan and think their entire 20 year run was tainted by cheating and protecting TB like a little baby but he is the greatest qb of this era and therefore everything should’ve been done to allow him to finish his career with the Pats.

@GriffyMurphyJr Steve smith was on the ravens that year. Kelvin Benjamin was injured. We had Ted Ginn and Devin Funchess who were both just okay but not great. But cam has never been a great passing quarterback it’s just showing with age. I wish him the best but it’s just not what he is.
@Excelling DEICIDE you probably don’t remember Steve Smith. A humbled Cam would be unstoppable but the current Cam is wasting years of potential. Finches. Benjamin was descent, just lazy. There were a few others.

@Jxmmy2k even with a good defense you need a special qb to win superbowls consistently. You need a guy who won’t make mistakes and who will be clutch when it matters. Brady is an incredible winner, and those who fail to understand that are either hating or just stupid.

In all fairness, the icon Bill Walsh believed in the same philosophy: better to get rid of a player a year too early than a year too late. That said, BB was garbage before TB and is looking like garbage after TB.

@Insert name here Brady left and Pats also lost a lot of key defenders to other teams. COVID and injuries aren’t excuses because those are affecting other teams as well. Titans have the most positive cases (I think) and Niners suffered so many injuries. Both are still nabbing wins.
It’s starting to look like Brady carried Pats all along.
The pats look miserable. Newton looks aweful. The offense can’t do a thing, and the defense can’t stop anything.
He did literally just have a virus, I feel like mostly everyone is overlooking that. The defense is much worse than when Brady was there additionally
