Fitz truly wasn’t ready to hand it over just yet..you can see it on his face during his interview. This was his best football of his career! Period and he knew it..however he also knew his time. Just hope this doesn’t effect the team.. we’ll see Nov 1

@blumaske Let’s be honest, Why are fans now torn between Fitz and Tua? Why when I read the Comments, I see people now rooting against Tua because they feel bad for Fitz? Fitz didn’t have to use words like Heartbroken or Sad, or Depressed. Really? 15 years in the league, and he’s using such words to cause divisiveness???? Very Toxic and he should know better, it’s going to affect Tua mental Health feeling sorry for Fitz. People keep saying Fitz was playing well because his QBR, His stats blah blah. I guess, They don’t study his plays that much, We lost a few games where he made poor decisions and threw inaccurate passes. Tua is now ready more than ever and his passes are better than Fitz. So if we’re going to ride out this season with a QB, it might as well be with our Future.
I understand the move but whoever leaked it to the media should be canned. Seems like they didnt care about the repercussions to the team or Fitz.

You know fitz will be supportive of to tua and do all he can to see him succeed, but you can see he is crushed, i hope after it’s sinks in he gets back to his happy carefree self even as the back up. I feel terrible for the guy but he knew this day was coming.

While i believe the future is tua’s, in watching 50 years of football I’ve never seen a qb pulled having played this well and winning last 3 if 4 games one against the super bowl runner up. Tua will have his hands full with rams .

Fritz is a genius in reading defense, but the quality of the arm strength is not their. The deep throw to preston is a touchdown, but the arm strength was poor. Father time is undefeated.
Just listen to Tua speak and the way he handles the media. If he can make the throws (its all about the throes and the reads) then he’s ready to be the guy. He seems more than mature and intelligent enough to play at this level. He’s not Baker Mayfield by any stretch.
