Based on what David Archer has spoken about adaptability DE Takk McKinley won’t adapt to Raheem Morris or the new regime. His option wasn’t picked up and he’s gone anyway. That dude doesn’t want to play for the Falcons, he wants to play for a west coast team since he’s from the west coast (Richmond, California). I think it’s pretty obvious Matt Ryan has about a fifty fifty shot at being somewhere else in 2021. Don’t dismiss Julio either. One of the two, if not both, will not be a Falcon in 2021. It will be up to a complete stranger, who stays and who goes. But make no mistake, somebody goes. They are purposely and intentionally getting you comfortable with the concept of Matt or somebody like Julio leaving because they are about to let somebody like that leave. I would not be upset.

Change is inevitable. I could see them both here in 2021 because of contracts, but I definitely think one or both could be gone in 2022.

Both Ryan and Jones have contracts until 2024. Because of salary cap and dead money issues neither player will be leaving until at least 2023.

@LA Ryan If a new coach wants a new QB, when he sees the cap issues and dead money issues trading Ryan would cause he will not want to come here. Because of that Ryan will be in Atlanta until at least after the 2022season. You can draft a young quarterback in 2021 but he is going to sit until at least 2023.

I honestly wouldn’t even be mad if Julio left. I love his game but He deserves better. Matt Ryan has deserved better at instances too. Better OCs, better OLINE!! better skill players certain years and above all else better DEFENSE!!! Our defense been more on the trash side since 2012 and it’s old at this point. Don’t be shocked to see a rebuild guys.
