He needs a better team around him
The Jags missed 2 FGs before the half, squandered two chances to seize momentum and the lead (one of which followed a forced turnover). Minshew can only do so much, and he’s been good considering they are trailing every game and being forced to throw more than they want. Jags have no defense, take too many penalties on offense and red zone play calling and execution have been poor. Few of the Jags’ scores come off of good scheme and execution. Most of the Jags’ red zone TDs are from Minshew buying time from poor pass pro.
They had no Myles Jack and CJ Henderson this game.

Minshew’s not the problem. He didn’t play great (although he still played well), but when you have a game plan that completely abandons the run, a kicker who misses from 24 and then short from 49, a defense that allows 30, and one of the most idiotic plays of the year with calling the Wildcat on 4th down, you’re not gonna win
