Gonna take a few seasons to get this team back to top level, shame JJ probably won’t be there when we can finally compete for Super Bowls. He deserved better

I agree, it really is a big shame that a future 1st ballot HOF as JJ Watt will likely retire without a ring. But it’s not like it will be the end of the world for JJ if he doesn’t acquire one while playing. Just my opinion, I would think that at the end of the day, JJ would still be hella proud of himself and everything he accomplished in his NFL career when he is walking up to a podium and receiving his gold jacket to signify his induction into the NFL Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. Where JJ will forever be remembered and looked up upon as one of the all time greats. He will be one of few and join a very exclusive club of the finest, most impactful, game changing players that have ever graced the playing field of American Football. When JJ retires he is going to be remembered as someone who revolutionized the Defensive End position, acquired 3 Defensive Player of the Year awards, and was ranked the #1 player in the NFL during the 2014-2015 season amongst his peers. His stats combined with those monumental achievements just listed will also be something to justify his legacy and eternal place in the NFL HOF….
So, yea, maybe he wont get a ring. Or, maybe he will end up playing another 5 seasons and win a championship with another team that acquires him. Or heck, MAYBE he wins a championship with the Texans 5 years down the road…. I know that’s a stretch and likely hell will freeze over for that to happen, but hey, alllllll I am trying to say is that WE DONT KNOW what can or will happen for JJ in the coming future. BUT one thing is for sure, as I elaborated on earlier, JJ will retire one day from the NFL as a FOR SURE 1st BALLOT HALL OF FAMER…. And that my friend for me sure as hell seems like quite the sweet accomplishment to get to have and showoff in my trophy room… Something he and only a select few can truly be proud of accomplishing.

Cal, if you were unable to keep Hopkins financially, then how do you still have the highest payroll in the NFL? Doesn’t add up. The low talent level doesn’t match the payroll.
Hopkins original contract was pennies to what he was worth.
Houston needs to go after urban meyer or kyle whittingham both coaches are winning coaches and very disciplined
There really is one YUGE problem with the firing of OB and that is he should of been fired long ago!! We’re still gonna suffer for a couple of years at least with the damage that fkng moron caused us with the loss of good players, draft picks of course, and money!! He lost the locker room awhile back I think….
