Cole Cooper It was enough to get Gordon past him to score
Obviously hasn’t had much experience run blocking, but he definitely earned some respect from the locker room on that.

No one gonna talk about that block Rypien delivered? For a quarterback that has never practiced blocking in his life Id say that was pretty good. I dont think that’s a TD without that block.

@Stan Smith no there was literally no way they could take a knee or punt. There was two minutes left and the Jets have all 2 timeouts, and the Jets could win by a field goal the game was far from over. If you punt you might as well just give the game away. You need to run out the clock, which they were doing but Rypien delivered such a good block that Gordon was able to take it to the house and end the game right there

Imagine how good Melvin Gordon would be with a good offensive line. He’s had a trash o line his entire career in the NFL. He has so much potential still.
Idk about trash. The Chargers had an average o line for much of his career. It’s not good, but it’s not trash
RayRay Likes Football it was pretty horrible in my opinion in San Diego for him. He always got hit before the line of scrimmage.
He fumbles and is always hurt. He couldn’t get a 3in1 ever. He’s a straight down hill runner, no real explosive moves or agility. He’s average. Regardless of oline
