For all the praise McClay has been given, his overall draft classes have been suspect. When a roster lacks quality depth, it reflects that. The only position where there is some depth are the skill positions. Everywhere else… the cupboard is bare. The team’s record is indicative of a team mired in mediocrity which is built on over-hyped draft classes.

    @Dezboyz Justwin we don’t have a very good team. the cowboys may score some points because cleveland’s defense is suspect, but it would not surprise me if the browns put up some big stats against Dallas’ really bad defense and walk away with a win.

    I dont know about that.
    I think the coaching is really suspect especially on defense.
    Brandon Knight, Tyler Biadascz, Joe Thomas, and Tristan Hill have looked good.
    Not sure if McClay was in charge of signing Everson Griffen (so-so) but the Dontari Poe signing has been a disaster.
    However, I think you can blame McClay for the 1-Technique DT because Antuan Woods has been awful. Not sure if Antuan Woods should be an NFL Player.

    @Vegas 7 Tysten HIll? Don’t believe the pundits. Just watch him play after play. He doesn’t occupy two blockers to free up the linebackers. he can be blocked one-on-one in pass rush. and he’s a knucklehead who got kicked off his college team; fell asleep at a team meeting his rookie year; and committed a roughing passer that led to a 2-point conversion and is now seen as a dirty player–and he was over-drafted by four rounds and in lieu of the top safeties in that draft (Rapp, Thornhill, etc). BTW, Knight was undrafted. Thomas was a FA pick-up and let’s not forget Taco Charlton pick (over TJ Watt and Ryan Ramczyk and Budda Baker). Nearly the entire 2017 and 2019 draft classes were busts. That has significant impacts on a team. And we’re seeing that now.
