Fitzception can beat Kansas City one day and then next week get blown out by the Jets
If Fitzpatrick had a clean, quick release like Tom Brady and most other great,consistent QBs,he too would become consistent.When there’s consistent pressure and no time for his windup throwing motion he can look terrible.He’s a highly intelligent,athletic man with a decent arm who quite often plays at an elite level.Kirk Cousins is another example,exact same problem.Those split seconds add up over a game or season.Accuracy will suffer also.Watch Brees,Brady and Rodgers,they all have a quick consistent release.Rodgers who has a phenomenal arm and great athleticism sometimes throws in an unconventional way and gets away with it.Mahomes doesn’t have a great throwing motion but he is very athletic with an incredible arm although he won’t break many completion percentage records.

Tbh, Fitz has also just gotten a raw deal in the NFL. He keeps bouncing from team to team, meanwhile he’s kind of always just around that top 15-20 QBs in the league and you got scrubs who keep their job for years on end. He’s inconsistent, but I mean so is Phillip Rivers. When Fitz hits the day, he’s unironically playing like a top 5-10 QB, his worst days has him look Nathan Peterman, but with more hustle.
The 3 dudes that caught passes from Minshew tonight are gonna wake up tomorrow with bruises from head to toe.

Minshew never threw down the field maybe a couple times but the whole game were either flat routes or slants just setting up his receivers
