This doesn’t have anything to do with skin color. Lynn has done this before with the oline and it frustrates me. He just doesn’t believe in a player losing his job due to injury. I love him as a coach- except when it comes to this. Belicheck in NEand Jim Harbaugh when he was in SF had no problem with a player losing a job to injury. If someone plays a position better, you play that player to win. That’s what champion coaches do. I actually don’t think Herbert is ready, but he belongs out there. Tony Dungy said basically that the other day ( he’d go forward with Herbert at this point even if he’s not fully ready).

As a long time Broncos fan, here are a couple of my observations:
1) Herbert should be the starter ROS. Your offense didn’t look nearly as good against a worse team last week. Enough said. He ignited the entire offense and almost beat the Superbowl champs.
2) Herbert spread the ball around to everyone and the chemistry with Mike Williams will develop. What better way to let a young QB learn than a season with NO fans?!
3) Ekeler is becoming one of my favorite players. Just a beast man and perhaps one of the top 3 best pass catching running backs.
4) Keenan Allen’s still elite
5) that defense is scary and if only Derwin could stay healthy
6) The AFC West is looking like the toughest division this year
