I see the linebacker group being greatly improved this season. They’ve all been in Spag’s system for a year along with most of the defense, so they’re gonna be more comfortable. Willie Gay is gonna be a beast which will help alleviate some of the tasks for Hitchens especially. Honestly, assuming Gay will be a beast, I see Hitchens honestly having his best year as a Chief, maybe even making his contract seem somewhat reasonable. Now he won’t have to play coverage as much with Gay here and can focus more on doing his thing.
