Riley Anderson yeah that’s very true! But I also wouldn’t of minded taking bush then, and then wait a year and try to go get Watson out of Huston and bring him to Denver, you know he’s not gonna want to stay there! Then that would be our final piece of the puzzle!
@Bryan Palenske That may sound like a great plan but, you have to remember that Watson wasn’t necessarily wanting out of Houston at the time of the 2019 draft. It wasn’t until after O’Brien had the brilliant idea to trade away one of the best WRs in the league for an average RB that he apparently became less enthused about finishing his career in Houston. So it doesn’t make sense as a plan at the time. Beyond that, they had Johnson on the team and he showed that ILB was not as huge a need as some think. With the addition of Strnad, Denver is far better off than if they had taken Bush. Also, keep in mind Johnson missed 3 years of playing football and didn’t start until week 5, along with Purcell. He still finished the season with 93 combined tackles, 1.5 sacks, and 1 INT. Don’t be surprised if Johnson, having all of training camp this year as the starter alongside Davis, becomes the destroyer of worlds at ILB that Denver fans have been clamoring for. In the end, Denver ended up with 3 players with first round grades in the 2019 draft and, if Lock continues to develop the promise he showed last year, have an extremely talented, young core to continue to build around like they did this year.

Gordon has the better year. I think we have two 1,000 yard rushers this year. If you look at the stats Bouye had the better year last year than Harris. I think his decline continues further with the Chargers
