People forget how good he is. He was in the conversation for the best TE before last season.
@Turbo Tastic Ertz life was easy when he had Wentz healthy in 2017. Actually his life isn;t as easy when your QB is the general of the number 1 running offense and you still put up great stats when blocking more often than receiving. He’s my pick over Ertz. he’s already as good and younger.
TheRam517 but ertz is more reliable than Andrews, because last year he was our only threat on offense. We had no one who could stretch the field, and he still got over 800 yards, 10 TDs and had near 100 receptions
@Anish Heda Dude had 88 rec 900 yards and 6 TDs so stop lying. Andrews should be he is more talented and more athletic than ertz. He’s still not as experienced but I’d take him over Ertz. Ertz has only had 1 100 rec and 1 1000 yard season. Hasn’t scored double digit TDs in a season. He has one of the worst yards after catch among TEs and it’s clear to see why because he can’t catch a ball without falling down. He’s great at running slants and crossing routes but he’s not versatile at all in the passing game like Kelce, Kittle and Gronk. He’s an average pass blocker but an awful run blocker. I don’t care about what ifs. He had what he had, he did good with it but not as good as other TEs.
TheRam517 once again, the entire field is open for Andrews to go deep. We had no deep threat as opposed to the ravens who were able to stretch the field. In 2017-18 season, Ertz was the leading receiver and had many touchdowns. We had a deep threat in Torrey Smith, and were able to stretch the field. Without that, Wentz is forced to throw the ball in tight windows for 5 yard passes to Ertz, and he goes down right away. With multiple deep threats this year, the field will be much more open for Ertz and Goedert to succeed.
@Anish Heda You are forgetting he had Hollywood brown as a deep threat. Ertz had 8 TDs in 2017 and 2018. To put that in perspective. Gronk. had more TDs in 1 season than those 2 season. Those are solid numbers no denying it but Andrews is just better. Godert is honestly more talented than Ertz. He’s just more raw. I don’t see why the Eagles shouldn’t cash in on Ertz now and role with Godert who will be cheaper. Andrews played in the number 1 rushing offesne in the league. He still put up 800 yards and 10 TDs while being more versatile and better athlete than Ertz
Miles Sanders will be on this list next year.
