Our CB is going to need to step up

Pro Sports Outlook

DBs will need to step up for the Broncos to have a chance, With the expectations low, this group could come out to surprise a lot of teams this year.

Hopefully Bryce Callahan has a great year….

Something is telling me Callahan won’t perform well this season. I really hope I’m wrong

Remember this, Fangio’s defense doesn’t require CBs to do much, it more relies on the safeties making plays in the secondary

    I agreed with you

Everyone is SLEEPING on Bausby! He was working his way up to CB1 last season. He’s been 100% for a long time (via Instagram).

    Melvin Dale

Dude was balling until he got hurt

Aj Salais

I’m pretty high on Michael and hope he develop well and steps up, he fits the scheme and had a ton of zone experience in college, he does need to work on sticking to a comeback route

Kurt Johnson

Ojemudia will have 17 picks this year, and will be best man at my wedding with Alexis Perry.

Not too worried. Broncos defense was top dawg in the red zone last year. We did lose Harris and will parks but we have a lot of sleepers on defense that will step up.

    nguyephu24

Duke dawson jr. Being one of the sleepers

Robert Duran

We need to sign Logan Ryan.. Veteran..presence would be so nice right now.

Anyone gonna talk about the fart at 5:17 ??

A few things: 1) there’s no guarantee the rookie will start. Fangio said he will have to compete with an already deep DB room. That says to me, besides the obvious, that Coach has a lot more faith in the guys we already have than fans and the media do. 2) Callahan knows this defense already. So do all the guys who were on the team last year. The only guy learning it is A.J. Bouye, (and the rookie) which should make it a lot easier and faster for him to get up to speed. 3) Bausby showed a lot of promise last year until he got hurt, so look for him to break out. 4) The fact that Elway/Fangio did not bring in a veteran guy, shows they don’t think a veteran guy will help us. Their confidence in the guys we have makes me a lot more confident.

No hope for yiadom?
