Terrible draft, one of the worst drafts that I can recall. We had a ton of pucks and got absolutely nothing. Fucking Tua is going to be a bust

@charlie I’m thinking they’re following New England’s draft philosophy of not drafting RBs until the later rounds. I’m sure they’ll draft one today, but felt Dobbins was too good to pass up. Oh well… Finz Up!!!

Listen..to all that’s saying we should’ve gotten a running back, first off, TUA isn’t starting this year, we needed to work on the O line first..our o-line has been trash ..tannehil was the most sacked qb in the league when he was with us. Goes to titans, with some protection and a running game, they almost made it to the superbowl

Man we just signed Howard we probably will pick up on later rounds but it’s not that big of a priority.. they know we had no line for any back to run behind… the staff wanna give those guys fair evaluation behind a good line

@Saint Michael we need to protect before we can do anything. What good is drafting tua if we can’t protect him?? What good is getting a top rinning back if we can’t block?? Our offensive line has always been trash..plus we have draft and capital for next years draft as well..

Howard/Gaskin/Ballage will be fine. We’ll have a much better line, a dynamic QB, and one of the best WR corps in the league.

@Kenny Bruder exactly we will be fine guys ..we didn’t desperately need a running back..we needed protection up front …what good is picking up tua if we aren’t going to protect him..and what good is picking up a running back if we don’t have a solid o-line to block?? Dolphins have always lacked pass protection..so we are getting it right people.

The Real One There’s also a good chance we’ll get a running back via trade pretty soon, perhaps Fournette or the return of Lamar Miller.

We didn’t blow it..we needed to work on the offensive line..what good is a running back with no protection is front?? What good is PICKING Tua if we can’t protect him??..we can always get running backs..we still have draft picks for next year’s draft

Perine was one of the guys I hoped they would target but I thought he would be there in the 5th…still might but it doesn’t look good now that Vaughn is gone and Akers went earlier than expected.

But they still have a lot of picks left and need a rb. So we could end up getting him. It’s a shame that we couldn’t get Van Jefferson but we already have a stable wide receiver game

@Saint Michael Did I say it was college, just make observations on reality. Good point about Ross but maybe he had learned from the past??? But again going 0-7 and then 5-4…that does show improvement…again, observations on reality.

Mark Smith- Lol, you’re right. Flores is the next Don Shula and we’ve been saved. It’s amazing how far we’ve lowered the bar on coaching greatness!!!

@Saint Michael how can you say that about any of the picks and you’ve seen none of them on the field yet? I’d it because you don’t know their names? Now granted some maybe need some work but some may hit the ground running. You never know until the product is on the field. And as far as Ross firing coaches and putting coaches on notice if no significant improvement
A. Unless Ross wants to be the Browns or any of these annual bottom feeder teams he needs to fall back and let the coaches coach. We have made good moves in this draft even though I didn’t get a few players I wanted but I’m good with it

j skully- I’ve been watching videos of them playing “on the field” for months!!! Yes, some players can come in and shock people. It happens every year. However, you can also make a reasonable assessment of how their ability and talent will translate into the NFL by watching their college tapes. There’s an entire industry dedicated to it!! Look it up if you don’t believe me. A lot of the players we drafted so far are “projects” that have NFL talent, but are lacking the adequate techniques to be successful players in the NFL. When you draft someone in the 1st round they should be a “plug and play” player on day 1. They should be expected to be a solid, if not great, player for at least five (5) years. I don’t see that type of player when I look at the tape of Jackson and Noah. They have potential, but there were much better players available where they were picked.

@Saint Michael I agree that there were much better players available at their respective picks (I wanted at least Delpit or Mckinney with one of those picks); but I’m not going to say they aren’t plug and play. Coaching does make a difference and nfl training programs so they maybe legit. So let me clarify, I’m going to hold judgment until I see them play an NFL game. I initially didn’t love the picks either but I had to ease up because they coaches players with less talent last year so I’m sure they can work with this clay. And if you take that 1st rd should be plug and play I hope you feel the same about taking Tua at 5 who, if the Dolphins are smart, won’t play this year. He was at a much higher value than they were and it was plenty of talent to justify taking at that spot that could contributed asap. 🤷🏽‍♂️
