@Ryan Minnis It might be a task for a safety to transition to CB but the same isn’t the case in the opposite. The Pats use DBs that can shift and play man coverage. Don’t think of the pick as a CB but as a DB.
I wouldn’t call the Tua pick panicky. Risky, yes but panicky no. The upside is clearly there and it’s worth the gamble.
I would love a winning season but I wouldn’t even be mad if we don’t, one more draft like this ones on the direction of and they will be a force.

I have been tellilng that to myself ever since Jimmy Johnson retired and still, no super bowls. Noah is a HUGE reach and just screams Charles Harris experiment all over again. Raw, a project player, needs a couple of season to be developed into an NFL CB..we all heard that story before.

Initially I was upset with the #30 pick.
But the more I sit and think about it. I like the depth we’re adding to the CB position and hope that between Howard, Jones, Needham and Igbin-whatever his name is, will provide a great competition to get our starting guys. I was thoroughly impressed with Needham towards the end of last season.
Love the Tua pick. Wished we could’ve moved to 13 to get Wirfs but I do like the LT pickup as well.
Overall solid Day 1 I would give it a B+
