Technically speaking, Veach, Reid and company picked him, Veach just texted Pat who he wanted after they had made the decision and Pat picked him too.
That tells you how much trust this organization has it on Pat as their QB. You cant say the same thing for other teams.

Even the teams he beats have great things to say about him. If your a kid looking for an nfl team take a look at the chiefs kingdom. We do things the right way here
@kobel64 I didnt know how good he would be, but I noticed something fourth quarter in the Denver game his first start. The poise of the 4th quarter comeback. Couldnt believe he was 22, now just 2 years later he is the face of this league.
Watching this made me excited to have him. Seems like a really great guy.

TBR Homestead Darwin I think would be released before Darrel Williams. Darwin isn’t as good in the pass pro and I think has a hard time picking up blitz packages.

I’ve watched the tape on Clyde I’m telling you he’s “special” his vision, lateral movement and jump cuts is by far the best in the draft for me he’s like a mix between mark ingram and saquon Barkley, he doesn’t quite have Barkley’s explosiveness but bounces it to the outside great like saquon and runs extremely hard between the tackles like Mark Ingram. We just got a pro bowl and potential all pro RB watch.

Dude I was mad about getting a RUNNINGBACK for our first round pick, but after watching his highlights, and his season, he’s a chief. I’m so happy now. Especially since PATRICK IS THE ONE THAT PICKED HIM. That makes me feel comfortable that a guy on the field is the one that feels comfortable with this guy.
We’ve been getting LSU guys since Dwayne Bowe and it’s worked out pretty well for us. That school has really smart and gritty players that don’t fade in the 4th quarter. If anything they play harder late.
@Nate Lee He’s a good kid, and was raised right. He also has a chip on his shoulder because he’s always been told he’s too small. Watch some of his film from last season, he can run thru tackles, make cuts that puts defenders on their butts, (clemson game), and has a spin move that straight out of a video game. His only drawback earlier in his career was he put the ball on the ground a bit too much i think, but he cleaned that up last year.
KC was scary before this pick, now there just down right Frightening !

The Chiefs draft guys that work hard, learn fast, and fit best in their culture. There might be a few other guys in this draft with slightly better physical gifts in various ways, but it looks pretty unanimous that all the Chiefs coaches and Pat Mahomes think they just got the pick of the draft with CEH.
