Don’t know who he said, but Isaiah Simmons is the best play in the draft.

    Mike Gruits

@Angelo Ljuljduraj You didn’t say that at all. Good clarification.

    Darren Turnpaugh

I know right? It’s a no brainer if we can’t get Chase. I LOVE Arnette or Gladney at 35. Corner group is DEEP. I said it before, Super Bowls go through guys like Gronkowski, Kelce, and Kittle. Simmons can shut them down.

    Madsniper304 DeCalz

Like Simmons also okudah only started one year

    Aaron Parker

@Madsniper304 DeCalz Okudah started 2 years and Simmons started at Safety as a redshirt freshman missing one game as well as making the switch to LB his sophomore year starting there the next 2 years in a row.

    El Wormy

πŸ’― but I still want Jeff Okudah 🦁🦁🦁

Todd

awesome video you deserve more views

Aaron Parker

It would be disappointing to see the Lions take Jeff Okudah in the first round, there are better prospects at bigger needs and no guarantee he will be a first year impact player. If he was a Revis or Champ Bailey type CB I’d say pull the trigger but, he isn’t we need someone to impact the box area. The better our defensive front does the easier they make the game on the DB’s. Address the front 7 with impact players and build from there.

    Angelo Ljuljduraj

Aaron Parker and we can get a good DB in the later rounds

    Aaron Parker

@Angelo Ljuljduraj I completely agree with you Johnson from Utah is a similar talent to Okudah we could grab in the second round and feel good about letting him develop under Amani and Trufant. I believe Amani has #1 CB talent and should develop nicely and deserves the chance to start this year.

    Marvin Barr

I agree 100% we need more elite players in the front 7

    El Wormy

I will agree to disagree, Jeff Okudah is without any doubt generational talent, imo πŸ¦πŸ‘

LIONS WHEN ARE YOU GONNA DRAFT A DOG πŸ• ? Get Stafford some help in the backfield…No knock to Kerryon but Stafford needs a consistent Running threat out the backfield..Swift,Taylor, Dobbins …Just saying!

    Travis Fiedler

I think we’re alright there unless someone good falls to us. To me, it’s more blocking schemes than anything that they need to fix. We still go Bo back there too and Ty Johnson has shown some flashes of what he could potentially become.

    Madsniper304 DeCalz

We definitely need someone explosive for sure

IMO… If Quinn takes Okudah at #3 with Simmons, Brown or Kinlaw on the board would be a HUGE mistake… You build from the ball out and never take a CB in the top ten.

    Darren Turnpaugh

Lol Ward and Lattimore have caused big positive defensive change for their clubs. But Simmons is a rare commodity, Okudah lesser so.

    Joseph Murdock

    @FootClann 004
Yup!! Never listen to Kiper if your a GM… Disruption is better for coverage, you must attack the QB.
That is why Okudah is over rated… Ohio had a fantastic rush to the QB and that allows the CB to cover… Okudah will only be as effective as the pass rush allows especially as a rookie and the Lions must get a pass rush or they will be picking in the top ten again with a new GM and HC if they pass on Simmons, Brown or Kinlaw and take Okudah.
How effective was Greedy Williams last season compared to Bosa… Not even close and why you never ever take a CB at # 3 or top ten… Fix the D-line first then on day two get the CB and this is a deep draft for CB.. Huge drop off for edge day two.

    Joseph Murdock

    @Darren Turnpaugh
Slay was trying to get Patricia fired with his mouth and attitude… If Quinn picks Okudah and passed on Simmons or Brown then Slay will get the last laugh because picking Okudah will get Quinn and Patricia fired.

    Darren Turnpaugh

Pretty sure Slay lost his chance of getting a last laugh when he continued his complaints instead of moving on like he needs to do.

    100% THANK YOU!!!!!

Jermaine Pennymon

Id like to see the Leo’s take Okudah.Yes we may need more help in the front seven but no need to reach when Okudah is the higher graded prospect.Ohio cb have developed just fine at the next level of late & i think the drop off from the dline as opposed to the cb in rd 2 would be greater. As good as Simmons is just dont think they would take him & still believe Okudah would impact more.

    Aaron Parker

Okudah has faced very limited talent at WR the last two years, if you watch the tape against Clemson and Penn State he gets exposed. His 40 time is concerning, especially when you think about the fact that he played with the best player in the draft in Young who gave QB’s little time to let WR’s to run routes.

    Jermaine Pennymon

Respect your opinion but not sure if we were watching the same games because I definitely did not see him getting exposed.Granted Higgins got hurt in the Clemson game early on but there was no exposure there before or after the injury.I take nothing from Young but you cant say he didnt benefit from playing with the best cb as well.Competition wise I cant see what else you would need to see other than playing Clemson & Bama every week. There’s enough talent in the Big 10.

    Jermaine Pennymon

Also not sure how a 4.48 is concerningπŸ€·πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈ

    Aaron Parker

I’m sure if you rewatch the tape, you will see where he is beat by Higgins often including the play Higgins gets hurt and scores a TD on Okudah. Okudah had good plays just not against Higgins and was exposed in the Penn State film against KJ Hamler. Detroit shouldn’t be concerned with a starting CB with the steal of last years draft in Amani coming into his second year and with the signing of Trufant, who is still a serviceable CB1. A 4.48 40 yard dash is concerning when you run man to man coverage as much as the Lions do and have very little pass rush as of last year. The last thing Detroit needs now is another Teez Tabor.

FootClann 004

Steak nShake

Don’t over think and be stupid with this first pick and take the best available player in Simmons!! Take a CB with your second or third pick.

El Wormy

Tori πŸ₯°, Okudah 3, 5, 6, or 7th

Jo D

Please don’t take Okudah! Overrated!
