yes agree..tho I will say I love what that person on Twitter said..don’t get locked into having to take a “slot” WR..cuz then if u have a WR injury ur in trouble..just get a good WR that can play inside or out..Jennings might fit that idea

@Doug Tyree to say u don’t like a WR in the 1st is cool and I can respect it and that’s a discussion..but to just write off any point of view but your own without any discussion and call anyone who disagrees with u a “fantasy type” just shows ur lack of not only football IQ but IQ in general..so what should I call someone like u who absolutely %100 will force a pick at a position regardless of if ur getting any value for ur pick?? that’s how u end up with busted pick after busted pick cuz u MUST draft a DE in the 1st so u reach for a late 2nd rd talent in Taco or u MUST have a DT 3 tech so u reach for a 3rd-4th rd talent in Hill in the 2nd..u don’t force urself to make bad picks and pusprosley take less talented players than what’s on the board..u can’t go into a draft saying ur %100 taking any specific position with that pick until u see who’s available..yes we should take a defensive player in the 1st IF the player is worthy of the pick..reaching for players that are graded way below where u r picking is exactly how u draft busts at a higher rate and end up not filling the position anyway..both Gallup and Cooper have been hurt and Cobb is gone..ur just 1 injury away from not being able to score pts..our depth at WR is horrible..when Cooper was out Gallup was pretty bad as the #1..considering we line up with 3 WR’s most of the time yeah I’d say a WR is pretty critical..I still think a CB would be a better choice at #17 but if Henderson is gone and a guy like Judy or Lamb is sitting there who u have graded as a top 10-15 pick, ur gonna take a CB anyway at #17 that has a 2nd rd grade?? lol..no matter what? that’s why we’ve done what we’ve done in FA..so u need a CB, a safety, a WR..if all players available are graded similar sure take the CB..but if the WR is graded much higher than the CB u don’t take the less talented player..there’s still the 2nd and 3rd rds to grab a CB..

@Rmf 22 Obviously BPA at a position of need is how it goes, but its True every year the same fantasy types always say “We would be scary with such a WR…It actually proves they lack Football IQ. 40 burgers vs awful teams & NOTHING vs good teams, is the silliest of terms Ive heard. .Who do u want?

@Doug Tyree I’m glad u saw that I wasn’t attacking u but rather just suggesting we can all have a conversation..I totally agree with u that some people have no concept of building a football team..I also agree that we need to build this defense and if a guy like CJ Henderson is there I’m %100 completley on board!!! what I’m sick of is going into drafts saying we HAVE TO draft a certain position no matter what, skipping over very talented players just to force a pick that isn’t even worth the place we’re picking them..I absolutely want a CB and a DE..but we’ve just had too many busted picks to take alot of risk right now..and all I was trying to say is yes take Henderson..if he’s not there, but a guy uve graded as a top 10-15 player in the draft like Lamb falls then absolutely I’m taking a player that talented..however, if that’s not the case and Henderson is gone I’d be fine with trading back a few spots as well..in those early to mid 20’s of the 1st rd there should be PLENTY of choices like Gladney, AJ Terrell, Delpit, McKinney, Winfield Jr, Murray, Queen, Baun etc etc..so many good defensive players and we could grab an extra pick while were at it..we can even consider edge/OLB players if we wanna run some multiple front defense like a hybrid 3-4 type of scheme then u can fit players like Baun into ur scheme..if that was the case a few yrs ago we would’ve taken TJ Watt instead of Taco!!! if i was the GM i don’t wanna hear from Marinelli “I can’t use TJ Watt cuz he’s 10lbs too light so give me Taco instead cuz he weighs more even tho he’s by far a less talented guy!! figure it out!!! draft the best players u can and find a damn way to get them on the field.. I’m open to anything that makes sense tbh..all I really want is to make sure we get the best, most talented player added to this team as possible each rd..I’m absolutely a defense 1st guy but not at the expense of passing a guy that’s graded as a top player in the draft and instead take a guy that uve graded as a 2nd rd pick..that’s all..stop reaching and stop forcing picks and stop passing up better players..

bro I’d be upset if they took Matos at #17..but I do like Jefferson and tbh after Okudah, AJ Terrell is my favorite CB in this draft!! I like him more than CJ Henderson..I think AJ is more flexible and can play zone as well and is a much more natural playmaker on the ball than Henderson..also AJ is much more physical and a better tackler as well..sure CJ might be a more polished player right at this moment but I think Terrell has the potential to be better and will create more TO’s..

@Doug Tyree yeah and the most unpolished player, with the highest bust potential, with the least amount of college production BY FAR of anyone going in the 1st..just what we need..another bust on the defense
