According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, the Giants agree to terms with QB Colt McCoy. The agreement is contingent on McCoy passing his physical.

Everyone in this comment section isn’t very bright. This is a good signing. We have no other backups. Danny Jones was the only one on the roster, because Alex Tanney is basically a QB Coach on the roster. Colt McCoy is signing with us to be a serviceable backup that can definitely fill in DJ’s shoes if another injury were to occur. He is also signing for about 1 million less per year than what he was earning in WSH. Great vet, and he will do great in preseason.

Like this pickup, already better than Tanney, someone who has actual starting experience and even winning experience in the league and a great stable backup.
Good to keep Tanney around, too, though; McCoy is underrated but often injured these days.
