I think he still will be
@Mr. Perksy I think it depends on Judge. Although it’ll be hard to separate the HC’s success from the GM’s. If Judge does well and Gettleman doesn’t, I actually think they’ll give Judge more control over personnel and will hire an assistant GM to help him (maybe that’s in the form of keeping Kevin Abrams). That’s where the league has been trending. GMs aren’t useless, but are becoming more of an administrative position.
Riddick doesn’t have experience as a GM, but he’d be an interesting choice. It’ll depend on how well he and the HC get along too.
Joch Hann gettleman ain’t going anywhere
@Kung fu Kenny Pretty hard to say. Mara wasn’t that kind about Gettleman in his press conference when Shurmur was let go.

@Joch Hann If Mara didn’t like Gettleman he would have fired him. He likes Gettleman but knows this year there needs to be real improvement or what we have is clearly not working. Mara more said this season is a prove it season for Gettleman. I know you didn’t say he hated Gettleman, but I just think that press conference was more explaining that it’s time to see improvements. I think Gettleman understands that too.
Louis is a great communicator, enjoy hearing him speak and give his take on certain things. He will be a GM somewhere very soon👀

You do realize he was a gm before? Or a talent scout? He was in philly I believe. BTW he said he would have drafted rashan Gary and Haskins last season. Didn’t turn out so well for them this past season. Talking well has absolutely nothing to do with football IQ and decision making as a gm. Though I do like Louis I have to say if those would have been his choices. Then his job security would have been heavily questioned in NY.

Great job getting this interview. Always enjoy his insight on the game. Louis has a great vision on how to build a team and what the Giants should do approaching the draft. Trade down and get more picks. We had a chance to get him 2 years ago. I hope Dave Gettleman would find a spot for him in the future.
