john anthony how would josh mcdaniels do WITHOUT Tom Brady and bill bell though?? He won Super Bowls as an offensive coordinator WITH TOM AND BILL….. but as a head coach without them 2 , he did horrible and not only did his record suck, the players hated him and I think that’s why he ran back to the patriots .. we need a leader, we don’t need to be hoping and praying someone’s gonna be better than the horrible coach he was in Denver

Brady isnt done , forreal, he’s done toooooo much for the Patriots. He made the throws but his receivers cant can’t catch. Everyone looks at his completions but look at his receivers completions percent. It’s not his fault if they cant catch…..

The reason why brady is so good is not because of his impediment skill, but rather his killer mindset and his ability to be coached. I’ve been a fan since 1980, a diehard through 1993… and have wasted countless hours watching and following this team since 1999, you have no idea what you’re talking about. They had not as of yet tried where the HC and GM are aligned.

Some times the obvious needs to be stated, because the owner has yet to follow this advice. The lack of stability also means that veteran coaches with winning records go to Dallas, not Cleveland… and Cleveland then is stuck giving OCs and DCs their first shot at a HCing gig… and we know how much patience Haslam has for that.
running beard I have never believed that particular story. It’s a thing because of the Patriots IMHO. And they are a thing because of their QB.
The reason I don’t think it’s real is the AZ Cardinals when Kurt Warner went there. The coach was a retread, but he was a fit with Warner, and they were immediately a playoff team and went to the SB.
This is the Cardinals. They were the NFL laughingstock, and went to the Super Bowl because a proven veteran QB went there.
The organization meant nothing.
McCarthy was a much safer choice than McDaniels

@ThorsMjollnir0341 The hiring of Dorsey and Kitchens was a higher risk, but if you are going to take risks, you had better have the patience to ride out the highs and lows. The owner has no ability to do that. McCarthy is a proven success, so naturally, he goes to a proven winner in Dallas. That’s not high or low risk, it’s just a good fit.
running beard it is not necessary to ride out the highs and lows once it becomes clear the high risk wager will not work out. Freddy was totally incompetent and Dorsey, while acquired some nice talent, was an impediment to getting a good coach and building a team rather than a group of individuals. I agree Haslam has to show patience, but I also appreciate cutting bait when he sees a problem. The real problem with Haslam is not so much a lack of patience. His problem is that he keeps arranging forced marriages between individuals of different philosophies and who don’t see eye to eye.
I think the Browns will offer Josh McDaniels the job, but I am not sure if he will take it.
