Need to acquire talent based on our formula. If you don’t want to pass often then why spend 25+ million plus draft capital on Wentz and let one of the best run blocking guards in the league go in free agency?
Anything under 30mil is really a bargain for a starting QB these days and getting someone at a comparable talent level for less requires a lot of luck…

I don’t trust these guys to put the best players we have on the field.
Its not that the plays don’t work it’s that Scott Turner calls wrong play at the wrong time. Ron Rivera defends his people so much that he does realize that discipline is part of the military trait. Hold people accountable change direction with correction. Without this you are not a leader but a follower yourself.
Definitely sounds like Daron is gonna walk. Doesn’t seem like Ron is as fired up about him as he was Jon Allen but maybe he doesn’t want to make it a big deal right now.
And that’s why Ron and minions must go. He did his job here by changing the culture in the locker room. Holcomb and Sweat are the odd men out in my opinion.

Sounds like Ron is sticking around, so at the very least, fire scott turner, play calling kept us out of the playoffs
Biggest 2 things to evaluate, which I admit I’ve already determined for myself:
1) Scott Turner’s situational play-calling and play-calling in general- especially in the redzone. I remember one big chunk play from Howell to Dotson, then 3 plays later: punt. Momentum totally lost. On other teams with this much skilled and emerging talent (Howell), that big play momentum is built upon and rolls to AT LEAST a TD.
2) Sam Howelland the best way to develop him because to me (and this me getting way ahead of myself), he looks like a FRANCHISE QB. Just make sure you develop him the right way. Two tools that he innately had for a modern day franchise NFL qb: vision to run and scramble and down field accuracy.
Absolutely awful sequential play calling. Scott has zero understanding for the feel of the game smh
If they bring back Wentz is a fireable offense
Rivera takes no accountability, and in fact is satisfied with a mediocre season. If leadership is comfortable with missing the playoffs year after year, it is time for a change. Complacency does not lead to elite!

Should be called a smoke conference. When Danny goes and we all hope that is tomorrow anyone and everyone in management needs to go as well. Ron won’t fire Turner and I never heard anything to the effect of him asking Scott what the hell he’s doing. Like a dog with a bone once he makes a plan he will not change no matter what the situation on the field dictates. So everyone has to go.
Ron 🎤: we’ve been surprised by many players throughout the league who’ve come off the bench (or maybe off the couch) and performed better than the original starters. How do you think you can improve the evaluation of players trying to make it to the field?
Also, being that next season is your final season under contract for the Commanders; do you think that you might give starters a shorter leash and ready to supplant them if they’re performing subpar?
Bruh coaching lost us the playoffs. Plain and simple. Ron blew it by playing Carson. Scott turner loves throwing it behind the line. With the talent we have on both sides of the ball we should be playing next weekend. Absolutely another let down of a season.

As much as I love Ron I’m starting to lose faith. Completely blew our playoff chances by starting Carson and he refuses to play young and better talent over washed vets like Mayo and Bostic he needs to change and make the right moves.
The 49ers offense is not constrained if the run game is not working. Ron keeps grabbing the injury excuse to protect the under qualified offensive coordinator. The results in no way show that your offensive philosophy works. Amazing how Ron is so quick to name names with the players and not with the obvious
I am going to go against the grain and say all things considering (Ron being lame duck coach because of team sale etc., and not being able to attract a top talent for OC) that we should keep Scott to keep running the offense, but hire or promote Zampise to call plays. Calling plays and reading flow of game is Scott’s weak spot, but he is very creative with offense overall.
It’s the won loss record that advances organizations ie Giants. Completely different attitude and overall outlook, they’ll likely be even better next year. Same with the Eagles they’ll likely be improved, just can’t see improvement with the same coaching staff from the last 3 LOSING seasons. There were 5 previous to that, on and on and on… Real change is absolutely required!!!🤔😡
