If Dallas wins the Super bowl, Coop will be one of the rare backups that earned that ring just as much as the starters did. Without him, we’ve seen when backups fail us with a talented team (cough: Andy Dalton cough). Coop as a backup for the most heavily scrutinized team in the league went 4-1 when all the chips were stacked again him, yes the defense helped but he had to have solid play and he did. And if so, I want to see him and Dak hold the Lombardi trophy together on that podium because Coop earned that right. And for Dak, we know its gonna be emotional for him and for everything he has gone through, imagine how impactful that will be on his life. Go Cowboys!

The Dallas Cowboys throughout their history has somehow been known as a team that always somehow finds a franchise QB just a few years or immediately after the previous one retires or leaves. The Cowboys are a team that truly values the quarterback position as the gold standard in player leadership no matter who is the coach or gm. That’s a tradition that has carried on since 1960.
