Jerry respectfully addressed the tragic situation. Whether it be football, auto racing, down hill skiing etc participants recognize the risks and are willing to take those risks for the love of the sport.
As far as football is concerned the risk is relatively low. Even Damar’s situation has very little to do with football. Even though the game is being vilified for it.

What a thoughtful and articulate leader he is! What player would not respect his insight and wisdom on all things football and life related. He has the type of intelligence that commands respect and translates on the field and in the locker room. John Ralston, Marv Levy, Bill Walsh, come to mind. Would love to see him remain with the Broncos, but he will always be able to say he brought dignity to the Bronco Head Coaching position in one of our darkest eras in team history. His tenure will mark the beginning of this important organizational resurrection! Long live Jerry Rosburg! Long Live the Broncos!
I Really like Jerry R. I know he likely will not be the Head Coach. I do hope the team tries to keep him on in some capacity. If nothing else just as a motivational speaker.
Damar is showing remarkable improvements in his recovery. This is great news.
