If ur an optimistic bear fan like me, then know that this is exactly what we wanted to happen this season-Fields has shown that he’s the guy at qb and we have a top 4 pick in the draft. Let’s be honest, this roster is awful, especially now with the injuries, so being 3-13 isn’t shocking. This will be the biggest(and funnest for us fans) off-season for the bears in a long time, let’s see what the bears do and after the draft we could be going into 2023 with big smiles on our faces.
@Street Oregon ya, exactly. Last season is over. Let’s just be thankful that we had Fields last year or else it would have been dreadful. He made the losing bearable and fun. This year will be better. I can’t wait till March when FA starts and see what Poles spends the $120 million on, then the draft to see what we do and pick.

We should not have looked that way against a the Lions. Getsy’s play calling and personnel usage (of what we have) has been worrisome. Next year will be critical for the entire staff imo.
As a Bear fan hopefully with the draft & cap space they can make a great team.
I think it will probably realistically take 2-3 years before the bears are competitive again. Lots of offensive and defensive holes to fill and players need time to gel.
So 10 put of 60 minutes was acceptable and that’s only half the team!

@Cosmic ConcreteCoatings Bad idea. Part of the Bears issues have been learning new systems every couple of years. By the time anyone gets comfortable in a system, there’s a new system. Poles and Eberflus also made the deals that freed up 120 million in cap room for this offseason. I’d like to see how they spend it.

As a 60yr Bears fan I believe Fields is the future and the Bears will be back to respectability in 2 seasons. The fans will expect nothing less.

I think the conversation in Halas Hall might be a tad different after tonight.. Maybe it is time to at least consider pulling JF1 after he breaks the record…. If for nothing else to show he is our Franchise player!
This coach has less excuses next year-this team was AWOL no hits. I think he is a good coach but talk has to lead to improvement. I am not sol don the defense cordinator and the offensive cordinator -he makes weird calls to kill drives -Fields makes him look good—-this coach needs to improve also next year——–how can you only call one play for Claypool

Getsy hasn’t helped the offense very much. Too many slow developing plays, no tempo, very little quick game, haven’t moved the pocket much, haven’t challenged opposing LBs with mismatches enough.
Thank you coach for getting Deiter the playing time he deserves. He had a few bad plays, but was clearly the best OL we had for the second straight week.
Coach, if you’re “always watching championship work habits and fundamentals” for this foundation then how do you explain the lack of discipline and fundamentals that we see from this team week after week?
If we were using our techniques and fundamentals to block and tackle then we would be a solid football team regardless of the lack of talent.
These are NFL players and there’s no excuse for the very poor technique we put on tape game after game.
I know everyone is playing like their cars are outside warming up and ready to go, but how do you as a HC allow the lack of fundamentals when blocking and tackling from your players and coaches?? For a lot of these guys it’s the only chance they will get to play in the NFL so how are they ok with their play?
I’m so sick of the bs brainwashing speech of how we get every single week from you guys when you can even play with Junior League or High School level fundamentals.
Of course we all want to lose for the draft, but not like this. I’m fine with our guys getting beat as long as they are playing with technique.
Everyone is talking about next year. For a lot of people dying, this shi-show is the last memories they’ll have of their Bears. Think about all the hard work people put into pay for tickets to see this.
You can’t execute the plays for them, but you do continue to put them on the field after the poor performance. These aren’t championship habits and we’re not all blind and gullible like most of the beat writers covering this team. You can fool them, but not those of us who know the game.
Justin’s here to play football. If he’s healthy he plays. He can get hurt on any play in any practice. He’s paid millions to do a job. At least give him a chance at the record. He could break it in one play. Get him the record and then bench him. It’s important to all of us fans especially when this season was this horrible. He could get hurt anytime anywhere. If he’s healthy, he plays.
