@gnielsen07 yeah what player isn’t good without a good supporting cast? This is the absolute opposite. The Bears have the lowest money spent on this team in the league. They have a defense that can’t stop, oline that can’t block, and WR that can’t separate/catch. Hard to do anything with that.
@Ty Johnson He holds the ball too long. He always had that problem in college. Part of his problem too is that he had better weapons at Ohio State than any NFL team can ever have. This was one of the worst seasons by a QB throwing the ball in recent memory. I am a huge Fields fan but the Bears fans are delusional. He shouldn’t even be starting at this point. This is just a waste.
@Justin Rand In fields last 8 games prior to yesterday he’s 19 total TDs & 6 ints. 7th in YPG, 7th in passer rating, 9th in accuracy, 5th in PPG, 5th in TD %, 7th in QBR. You just think he has a bad season passing because of the yards and that’s the worst statistic to look at for QBs. Obviously the QB that passes the most attempts is going to have the most yards. He has a oline that has the highest pressure rate and sacks and a WR core that is last in separation and 5th in drops. You’re delusional.

This was the first time I watched fields in person. A little disappointed by the outcome but still an overall good experience.
Honestly get 64 rushing yards then sit him for next year.
I agree get him a couple passing touchdowns and garbage time versus the vikes but make sure to get 65 yd though I don’t want to tie the record we need to break it

@PRHILL9696 lol do me a favor. Look up Green Bay’s history. From the time period of Vince Lombardi leaving the Packers in the late 60s- early 70s, up until they got Brett Favre in the early 90s, tell me what success did they have. They had about a 20-25 year where they wasn’t good either.
Everyone knows the bears isn’t good rn. I know you’re probably not a real Bears fan and if you are, you probably just go off stats, don’t know the bears history, and is just satisfied if the bears win. You have no long term vision for this team. You just want instant gratification if you are a bears fan. But any real bears is good with being bad this year because it sets the bears up for being good in the future. The bears have been mediocre for decades. Part of the reason for that is because they fail to draft and develop players and get them to 2nd contracts in the organization. I’ve been a bears fan since 2004-2005. Since 2000, the bears have made the playoffs 6 times and is 3-6 in those playoff appearances. Since they won the Super Bowl in 1985, they made the playoffs 12 times and is 6-12 in those playoff appearances. That’s the epitome of mediocrity. Real bears fans are tired of that. The only way to become a championship contender consistently is to have draft picks and hit on those players, or use those draft picks to trade for impactful players.
You’re right, this fan base embracing losing but when i say that, i mean they embrace mediocrity. They have too much pride to be bad enough to help set themselves up to draft franchise changing players or make franchise changing trades, but accepts and is ok that the team isn’t constantly competing for a championship and they’re always around 5 to 9, maybe 10 wins a year. Mediocrity is a losing culture. Real fans wanted this team to bottom out so they can get a high pick and use that pick to set up the future.
Who they hell cares about a meaningless win vs Detroit when we were 3-12 coming into the game? Just to move to 4-12? We play them twice every year. The key players on this team will have a chance to get their revenge going forward.

I feel he’s a great QB, but it’s hard for him to carry the whole team. He’s doing the best he can with what he has to work with. He Loves God & Trusts him, but he’s not a miracle worker. My thoughts & prayers are with them all, Justin needs to realize it’s not his fault when they lose, it takes the whole team, win or lose.

Justin Fields is a class act, unlike a few QBs we have had here. Give credit where its due. He has never known a losing season till he came to the Bears, put yourself in his place. At 22-23 years old getting hammered on the field and off the field for what. This team is not his fault, blame those that have been in charge the last 30 years.

He really is trying to succeed and playing his heart out but aside from Montgomery, he’s surrounded by 3rd rate talent… I guess he can hope to keep his body from serious injury and get traded to a decent team. Otherwise his future is pretty grim. There is no nucleus of talent to build a competitive team around in the foreseeable future… The Bears SUCK…

Lions fan here. I respect the hell out of this kid. The narrative was so down on him. And then it was up. Up down up down up down. Just enjoy the growth of him until he gets an actual line and team around him. He’s a special player and just hope he isn’t ruined before it happens.
