    Titan FTW

im shaking as a titan fan

Arrhenius

All the jets had to do was lose to the Rams in 2020 and they would have had Trevor

    T-man

They don’t know how the draft would go and their not that smart, as long as they knew the fanbase would like a win

    Breezy

That’s the reason why I am always for tanking. Idc about the 💩 players on the team allowing for us to have the option for tanking. 🙄 Fans look at the present and (short-term) future. Only the FO and entrenched, non-hot seat coaches look towards the future. The Jets with Trevor rn would have already made the playoffs this season. Probably even last season.

    LmX

but they have a guy that lost his job to old joe flacco, mike white and chris streveler

    Soham Jain

well they could have had fields

    Caleb Owens

Yalla are pathetic bitching about a draft pic cause your qb hasnt done good this year…. Jags were one of the worst teams last year with trevor. stop complaining that your back ups cant throw the ball

And y’all say fields is better

MAGACOP

He kinda fumbled here too…..
🤔

Boy got weak hands

DICK TRICKLE

He didn’t complete the process and make a football move 👎

    Oliver Hernandez

    He’s rushing not receiving

Jay Lewis

Even though I’m a Colts fan I’m rooting for the Jags to win

    Poop

I do not care who you’re a fan of.

    Pop Culture Jaguar

@Poop While I do agree that people sharing their team is dumb, it is actually valid here. He’s saying that even though he’s a fan of a division rival team, he still wants us to win

Insane Glickert

I’m sorry but the jets look good

    Shane McDaniel

I’m assuming you mean their uniforms, because that team is a mess right now.

    Insane Glickert

@Shane McDaniel I prob should have Clarifying that but yes is bad as they are in this game they look good doing it in those all black unis

Chase nickles

The jets would of been better off keeping sam darnold cause zach wilson is 10 times worse

Mr PooPooHead

so you can fumble immediately after breaking the plane of the gola line, but you have to catch a pass and demonstrate full control throughout the entired process of falling to the ground while being tackled??? Hmm?

    Isaiah Atkinson

He is literally a ball carrier as soon as he snaps the ball. he wouldn’t/shouldn’t have to demonstrate “control” through the ground like a wr. Common sense

    T-Bone Patrick

im not sure if this is trolling or not but he literally starts the play with the ball in his hands lil bro

    yapperface

    Yes, correct.

    Harry

yeah, that’s how football works. Otherwise everything would be a catch.

    Than McDowell

Yes because he already had established possession of the ball in the field of play and then he crossed the goal line.

A receiver who catches the ball in the end zone doesn’t have possession of the ball in the field of play until he catches the ball.

    It’s not hard to understand.

If you’re 6’6″ you also bag more chicks because chicks dig tall dudes.

    Jimbo 03

How is this related at all lol

    Sam Seidman

@Jimbo 03 Saltiness does not require relation

French Chicken

that roar of the crowd man i feel so bad for them 13-3 in the cold New Jersey weather tonight whilst its raining

the man

Al Michaels tried to create drama, “The ball comes out” (After clearly breaking the plain)

    William Xiong

With how officiating has been this past week I wouldn’t be surprised if they kept that play alive.

    Poop

@William Xiong I’m shocked they didn’t go to replay and call it a touchback, Jets ball.

Carl Thomson

Pretty much passed that ball to the jets, but ends up being a touchdown. Kinda sus. Definitely think he should have to maintain possession through whole process like every other play!

    Supersonicspyro 2577

Those are the rules, Always has been

    Pop Culture Jaguar

Not at all. The rule has always been, once the runner crosses the ball over the endzone with control, the play instantly dies and it’s a touchdown

    Xeractyll

Run plays are different by rule. The ground can’t cause a fumble, but the ground can cause an incomplete pass (not maintaining possession). If you already are considered a runner with the ball, the moment the ball crosses the goal line while being possessed by a player means the play instantly dies and it’s a touchdown. Pass plays are different due to the fact that you need to consider the catching rules to ensure someone maintains possession and fully catches a ball before you say it’s a touchdown, even if they’re in the middle of the end zone. Rule has always been that way, makes perfect sense that way, and I don’t see where the problem is.

arsenicsyndrome

TREVOR LAWRENCE IS HIMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Frosty

The jets 4th string QB is better than the QB that was supposed to be their franchise starter at the start of this season. Let that sink in.

bobinowsk

I still find it infuriating that the silly “breaking the plane” rule exists. You can brake the plane for a millisecond, loose control and yet it’s still a TD. Compare that to all the rules that’s in place once you’re catching the ball in the end zone (football move, two feet down, possession etc). Its just not quite right somehow and should be looked at.

    Pop Culture Jaguar

@bobinowsk Maybe, but this has been how it’s worked since the beginning of the game. Can’t really just change it up now.

    Xeractyll

@bobinowsk Run plays are different by rule. Rule has always been that way, makes perfect sense that way.

    Xeractyll

Runner and receiver are two different “states” that need to be distinguished. This is just how the rules distinguish them, and the advantage of each. Catching rules are catching rules only, not “catching rules in end zone.” Until you officially “catch” a ball and maintain possession, you are still a receiver, not a runner. And since it is only a “runner” who has possession of the ball, it is the only way to truly score. There is no differences in the rules, it’s the same it’s always universally been for everything. Sorry if I overexplained things, but I hope I explained it well at least.

    bobinowsk

@Xeractyll thank you for your effort, truly! There’s a lot of the rule book I probably still haven’t come across.

I’m not saying the rule should be eradicated, just….made better somehow, or fairer to the defense? It’s just an uneasy feeling I get when watching the game that it’s a weak rule or a very cheap TD, you know? The team may have driven 96 years downfield only to have a TD by 1mm of the ball crossing the line. You couldn’t get that yard or so (or less sometimes) with 3 attempts because the defense did such a great job, only for the RB or QB on 4th down to leap over the O-line from 3 yards out and 1mm of the ball cross the invisible goal line for a TD. The defense just stares on knowing there’s not much they can do to stop a leaping player…even if they do cause a fumble post TD. Just seems a way bigger advantage for an offense compared to the defense who can rarely do anything about it. Just my opinion. Perhaps the simple answer is that ALL the ball should cross the line? Makes it fairer for the defense, right? Not sure how my argument compares to a QB sneak either. Someone may rip my argument apart on that one.

I understand the rule has always been there or at least for a long time. It’s my favourite sport by a long mile for all the years I’ve watched, but I’ve never taken to that rule.

    bobinowsk

@Pop Culture Jaguar I think they could as they change rules every year regarding safety. Small rule change like the ENTIRE ball has to cross the line makes it fairer for the defense I think.

Jets could’ve had Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson as well 😊
