people do pass away at old age but this is unreal especially it occurred just days before the Steelers-Raider game where we will be commemorating for his greatest play in Steelers History. Another to remember for is when he announced our K.Pickett draft pick. Wish that many years later this would be greatness calling for another soon-to-be greatness.

#32 always Steelers nation
He meant so much to what we stand for, he was the RUN in the run the ball and play defense mantra that the Steelers forged into their mantra that won not just 4 Superbowls of the 70’s, but the later Superbowls of the 2005 and 2008 era. Run the ball and play defense and win championships πŸ†
It all started with Mean Joe Green and Franco Harris #32 always πŸ˜‡

As a Bengals fan, I grew up in the 70’s hating those “Steel Curtain” teams of Pittsburgh, because they were so damn great.

However, even @ an early age, I understood how to greatly respect them as well, and Franco Harris is/was one of the many players on that team I greatly respected.

Wow, I’m in tears, and just before his jersey is/was to be retired, and the “Immaculate Reception” is/was to be honored, life can be so cruel. R.I.P. Franco Harris, may your soul rest peacefully forever…πŸ™πŸΌ…

Yeah super sad day. We were pretty lucky to get to see Franco pummel our Bengals!

Billy Johnson

The immaculate reception is one of his many outstanding moments on the field. He and the steel curtain brought Miami’s reign to an end in the 70s. It became the decade of Steel.

I’m a Dallas Cowboys fan and always went up against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but I’ve always admired that tremendous team that won multiple Super Bowls under Bradshaw’s leadership and amazing players like Franco Harris and the aptly named Steel Curtain defense. Rest in peace.
