Question??? How good would this team be with all the Injured players, playing???

    Ryan M

A virtual impossibility in the NFL. Every team could play this game.

S Johnson

Why the cowboys play soft and gentle on defens I have not seen anyone put a hit on anyone to get that respect coming across the middle or running up the middle and meet them the cowboys just greet them I would like to see the boys hitting and tackling with force or we will lose in the first round of the playoffs

    Lokey Joker

Donovan Wilson has been a hammer all year but other then that you are right. Damone Clark is pretty physical but still raw.

    Joseph Andrada

Once Donovan Wilson got less snaps for kearse, those hits and plays dropped off. Those hits and plays made huge differences in momentum early in the yr. Not so much lately

Lokey Joker

Here is an idea for DQ, when the other team keeps rolling there QB out to throw. Over and over and over. Send a CB BLITZ and sack the QB make them think twice about rolling him out.

    Lokey Joker

@Whip Tech Facts if Jalen Hurts is injured or not I want to see someone hit him on every RPO they run. Even if he does not have the ball Micah Parsons need to make him feel the pain and second guess pulling the football.
Make the QB realize he does not have a red shirt like they do in practice I guarantee it will slow the QB down after getting smacked.

    Lokey Joker

@John D Its simple really. They are not throwing at Trevon Diggs so you essentially have a extra blitzer right there. No team is going to expect Trevon DIggs to come off the line and blitz.
Ramsey does it for the Rams because they know most teams throw opposite his way. Line him up on the line bring the heat. OR if they keep targeting one corner AKA Kelvin Joseph you send him on a blitz and say we are not going to let you pick on him all game. Make the QB throw over the CB rather then watch him get beat by a 50 yard bomb.
The rollouts and swing plays where mostly to Kelvin Joseph side. including the jet sweeps by Agnew. The offense was not trying to hide the fact they where going straight for Kelvin Joseph.
Therefore you know exactly which way the QB is rolling because he will not be rolling to Trevon Diggs and trying to throw it over his head.
The offense told you they where targeting the left side of the defense and DQ made no adjustments just kept rushing four thinking someone would get home. When all game MICAH PARSONS was the only one getting home. Even though the O-Line was holding him about every play, still he needed some help. An that help comes into place when you send the CB on a blitz forcing Trevor Lawernce to stay in the pocket.

    John D

@Lokey Joker That might work for 1 play if you pick the correct side. I’m not against it but you certainly have the chance for a big play against you if you guess wrong.
I would bring the nickel corner personally, start Bland outside at CB and bring Joseph (or Makuamu, or Wright) from the nickel spot.
What we agree on for certain is doing something differently.

    Lokey Joker

@John D Yes turn up the heat bring the pressure.
Because playing safe gave up a 5o yard bomb to Zay Jones, if you blitz it can be a huge risk.
However at that point in the game you have to change it up.

    Lokey Joker

@John D The 50 yard double move was only one play and it was a huge play in the game.
If the Cornerback blitz is effective you could get a turnover, or a sack, the risk is worth the reward.
Kelvin Joseph got burnt in what looked like a cover 4 meaning he was suppose to be deep and cover a quarter of the deep field. He should not have bit on a double move.
Just make them pay for rolling there QB out even if it is not on the right side the opposing Coordinator will be weary of rolling his QB into a CB blitz.
An if the QB guesses wrong or the defensive coordinator guesses right its a big play for the defense.

JOHN BEASLEY

Do you think if the cowboys win against jags the injury to hurts would not have been told. They would have hid it.

Lokey Joker

Newy is right Dak Prescott needs to close the game out and stop throwing untimely interceptions. Same game as the GB
“if ifs an buts where candy and nuts, wouldn’t it be a Merry Christmas”-Don Meredith Patrick NoC with all the ifs and buts

    Gregory Williams

Dak drove down the field and left with a 34-31 lead handed it over to the defense! I like Noah Brown, but if it is 3&10 or 3rd & 4, I am making sure CDee is in the route! The QB gave you the lead and if you are a SB defense you close that game which the defense did get a turnover and what happened bad coaching decisions and play calling there is no way you leave the field and they have one time out! It is easy to point the finger at Dak, but coaching is really the problem

    Lokey Joker

@Gregory Williams Interesting similarities between Green Bay and Jaguars game.
1-Dak Prescott two interceptions thrown to the same person. RUDY FORD for Green Bay, Reyshawn Jenkins for the Jaguars. No asterisks just facts.
2-Better QB won both games. (A-Aron Rodgers, Trevor Lawrence.)
3-Dak Prescott gets football back with 58 second left in regulation in GB game punt back to GB after a 3 and out. Green Bay wins in OT after a failed 4th down and 3 conversion in OT. Dak Prescott incomplete pass to Tony Pollard. A-Aron takes the Packers down kicks the field goal game over. Jaguars game Dak Prescott got the ball with less then 2 minutes could not end the game again. Got the ball in OT and failed to win the game.
4-Dan Quinn defense was up 28-14 in GB and 21-7 against the Jaguars. Looking like super Bowl LI when Patriots where down 21-3 to DQ’s Falcons. Smh…..
Cowboys Coaching staff looking like the island of misfits, Dak Prescott the leader of that island.

Defense and it’s injuries are the main problem not Dak

    Joel Smithers

Dak and Kellen Moore are still huge problems.

    Philippe Grondin

Agree that injuries to Hankin, Brown ,LVE and Lewis hurt but Dak and Moore only had to get ONE first down to ice the game and COULDN’T. And they choose a long low probability pass on 3rd down that didn’t burn any time off and left the Jags enough time to tie it. Moore is a horrendous hire that had no prior experience prior to Jerry elevating him from Back up QB to QB coach (where he has no authority over Dak because he played and lost to Dak as a player QB) and then O-coordinator (he had Garett as a mentor who is another bad hire by Jerry out of heart and not brain). They need to keep DQ and hire Peyton. Dak is good but not elite and not worth 40M per year. Trade him if you can get enough back.

Zamdfw

The emphasis on penalties has taken the aggression and physicality out of this team. Penalties are down and sacks, pressures and TFL’s are down. That combined with the loss of Lewis and Brown has made our defense good vs great. We averaged <20 points a game and let the league in penalties. I think I will take that version.

Gerald Stone

I don’t have much faith in the Cowboys, it appears that not much has changed from last year. The last two weeks have been real eye openers. I’d rest a lot of players prior to the playoffs, the boys are limping into the playoffs, sorry, but not hopeful…

Reggie Hart

Great show. Can someone articulate why we are having this much issue with replacing Brown at corner. Talent or lack of study preparation for the replacements? Thoughts? DC4L 👊🏾!

    Lokey Joker

They took a shot with Kelvin Joseph no pun intended and then they doubled down on it in the offseason even though they had never seen him play CB in the NFL.
The Jordan Lewis loss was manageable because you could sub one of the three safeties (Donovan Wilson, Malik Hooker, or Jayron Kearse.) they have in at the nickel CB or use Daron Bland. Hiding the holes that losing Jordan Lewis created.
However losing Anthony Brown makes the challenge worse because CB’s are on an Island. Even in a cover 3 or cover 4 zone they have a deep third or deep quarter of the field. Meaning they are still on a island. If you cheat the safety over like the Cowboys tried it exposes your run support as well as the other CB in the slot and the linebackers who know have to cover larger holes in a zone or have no safety help at all in man because Kelvin Joseph needed it.
You have to be an absolute stud to play man to man the entire game and not get burnt on under routes or slant or out routes or zig routes or option routes the list goes on and on. Most teams do not play man to man because it leaves you open to big plays.
The Cowboys had that luxury with Anthony Brown a savvy vet who could be beat but more often then not he was where he needed to be. Now the other teams realize that the Cowboys are relying on unproven guys on the outside, and the other teams are going to make them prove it. Prove they can play in the NFL.

Mister Human

This team needs an iron coach. Someone that wants to beat down opponents and run up the score to 50 every game

    j grau

Absolutely, to listen to both Quinn and Moore give standard answers after the Jaguars disaster tells me that they are also just going through the motions, like many of their players are.

L. Depriest E

If this team makes the playoffs, they are one and done. This year’s team task has been making mediocre teams look like champions. I’m a long-time Cowboy fan, and this team has no heart. This organization will never win another playoff game as long as Dak is the QB and McCarthy is the coach, let alone reach the Super Bowl.

Joel Smithers

I will save everyone 46 minutes. No this team doesn’t have what it takes to win it all. They have issues in all areas. But the one they lack the most is heart.

abadi jaya

Lost to Jags because the coaches were out coach by the opponent. They make some dumb play called

j grau

A team lead by the current coaching staff and with Dak at QB is not a good enough team to ever win anything. Solution? A change of head coach and offensive coordinator hoping that the new ones can influence Dak positively on his last two years, and start planning for drafting the next starting QB, I would be very happy if they somehow could draft Caleb Williams in 2024..

j grau

Outstanding? What do you expect, Jerry is paying him 42 million a year..

ConvoWithBigHomie

Let me ask the people a question(s)..If you failed to produce at your job for 26 years (if you could keep it that long), isn’t it a sign to change things up..I’m convinced that Jerry Jones is just trying to stay relevant. It’s not that the team isn’t good enough, the front office isn’t good enough…the head is messed up. So therefore the body is damaged. I expect nothing more from this team than what we as fans been getting for the past 26 years. Maybe win a wildcard game (if we don’t see SanFran) but will not go past the divisional round. Dak will have that blank stare he seems to always have when we getting drug..and of course he’ll get to the podium and say the same crap he been saying for his whole career (I’m tired of his rap)…Jerry and Stephen are gonna do something or say something to keep the Cowboys in the news but whatever it is it will not play out on the field. As we go through the off season approaching the next season the Cowboys going-to-the-Super-bowl talk we rise again…and we’ll get hype cause we’ll win some games and then the circus starts all over again…Tell me I’m lying…you can’t because it’s been the cycle ever since Jimmy Johnson left the building. Pathetic !! It’s my team but it is a circus!!

    John D

Good question – here is the only correct answer. You’re way of grading performance isn’t the one being used. This is a business first and football winning is second as long as you can reach the business goals without it. Check the value of the franchise. The job responsibility list does not start with win a Super Bowl. Unfortunately as fans once you realize this is true, now you know that you care more about winning than the owner.

Philippe Grondin

The cowboys D got Lawrence to fumble at the end of the game up 3. All they need is ONE first down. They can’t do. Don’t tell me Dak or Kellen Moore are ELITE!. The 3rd down bomb? That burns almost no time off. GARBAGE. Fire Moore (effective now and put McCArthy as O-coordinator) and trade Dak Prescott in off season. Go get Carr. He’ll cost less and be just as good. And get some draft capital for Dak.

John D

One first down to win the game. The defense carried this team for weeks, now it’s time for the franchise QB to do it. But we all know he won’t and we will make the necessary excuses.
Those other QBs turn the ball over but have a 3-1 TD/INT ratio. And when it counts they win the game.

Pablo Feliciano

Yeah Dak Prescott can’t blame the quarterback in this game but that’s got to clear some space for himself you know to throw the ball he’s got to trust himself on not forcing it to watch as aggressive and that’s good but you got to live for another down and not forcing an Inception and I just throw the ball away and don’t give the other team in advantage covering up some ground on the Plainfield you got to learn this from the veteran quarterback that been there and done that they told them all away they take him throw the boys live for another time and he’s got to he’s got to take those chances too it’s aggressive play he wants to win so bad and he’s good just need to throw them all away when you have to and I force and interception special
