@AmericanBlart fans get mad and immediately want to fire coaches and managers right away. You’ll go through the same thing next year if you just keep having this revolving door of coaches and GM’s.

We really need to fire Mike Caldwell and bring in a veteran DC. And cut Josh Allen after this season, what a disappointment. I’ve seen enough

Their never going to go anywhere with Caldwell as coordinator
U beat a playoff team last week and granted the ravens helped us win they missed alot of passes. And to get smacked by a 4 n 7 team is ridiculous especially when their defense is ranked dead last in every category basically
As bad as defense was, Lions put up a ton of points against the Eagles and a lot of other good teams. The fact that the offense was so bad is just as alarming.
@JJ the fumble and the early drops killed us. Down 17 at the half. I’m still not really worried about the offense. As good as Zay was against Ravens, that was an outlier. We all said we overpaid both Zay and Kirk, well Kirk earned his check this week, Zay not so much. Last week, Zay played to the contract. It is wat it is lol we really need our defense to keep us in games to actually have a chance at the end. Remember, the two colts games, one of those was luck. After 12 games, which one do u think it was? We been struggling with the pass rush and pass defense all year. That equates to losing.

@Ms Ambly ya man definitely shocking. Ive never been near the inner workings of a NFL organization so I don’t know if this is something common or just wtf but I’m leaning towards wtf.
@Ms Ambly I would think it’s common, it makes sense actually. If defense is not his area of expertise why would he be involved in defensive game planning? I mean I’m sure he discusses it and goes over it with Caldwell but he is not the one constructing the scheme and making the defensive play calls.
I like the comments about being patient – but we have a lot of high draft picks that are under performing Big Time!!! Players and coaches need some accountability!!! The Defense looks SO Unprepared!!! It’s not coming together Doug because your coordinators, especially on Defense are confused and not preparing their boys!!! We need some Jimmy Johnson type coordinators/coaches!!! JJ wouldn’t take any BS from anybody!

I know he can’t say it, but it is time to replace Caldwell. The scheme is not working, and the players are regressing.Their are a lot of teams playing great defense who do not spend what we are spending.

Just restart on defense. Everyone got cooked yesterday. The only players who actually decided to play football was Trevor and Kirk. Keep Cisco and Campbell. Who cares about everyone else. Fire Caldwell, trade Allen to the bills.

Y’all still trying to defend the worst team in the league? Listen, it starts with ownership. The owner don’t care. It’s hard to imagine every year been the laugh of the league. The owner sucks. He is just here for the ride until he has to sell for 3x-10x the initial investment. For the owner is just money. He makes money either way. But I think the league should force owners to sell, after 2 years of ending dead last. So, maybe that way owners have an incentive to win, if they don’t win they can’t ravage the benefits of selling the franchise in 20 years for massive amounts. If owners want a reward they have to earn it by winning.
I think the ownership jargon is a bunch of nonsense. Khan is putting a bunch of money into facilities, he hired a good head coach, the GM and Coach are working on personnel. Give them another year the team is already showing improvement from last year. This team could easily be hovering around 7-5 instead of 4-8. This was their first real blowout loss. And take a look at some of Lions previous scores, they put up big points on a lot of teams. I agree the defense definitely needs some changes and offense will continue to grow.

We’ve seen a lot of progress overall this year, but yeah—that loss was extremely frustrating as a fan. One of the reporters asked an interesting question about the defensive scheme. I’m curious if a more aggressive scheme would have better results at this point. At this point, why not try it? There’s not much to lose.
