The juxtaposition of the spike with the sheepish look when he got the game ball is priceless. This dude is allergic to attention. He rarely lets it fly but he did tonight on several plays and with the spike. Love this.

I love it! I was just saying after the L last week that when Herbert learns to show some emotion, it will go a long way. Derek Carr cried after the L to IND and they won 3 straight. Got a feeling this is gonna be a start of something different.
I love the symbolism in Herbert’s spike. He spiked the SNF football award, and kept the history making ball. Because that one was a real accomplishment.
Herbert’s strengths are his humility and grace in how he carries himself. But he needs a little more fire every once in a while and last night was a great display of that without sacrificing who he is as a player
Dennis – It’s who Herbert is as it was acknowledged during the draft process. I think if there is any criticism it should be pointed to Lombardi and Staley. Regardless of the W and how the rest of the season turns out the organization should do what it can to hire Sean Payton in the off-season and move on from Telasco, Staley, and Lombardi.
That was the best part of it… A quiet and humble QB, but such a huge competitor !

Shows how much focus we where giving to the new flashy signings and stud veterans, that we didn’t notice how hard the back ups and training squad have been working to give this team the depth we needed.

Call me crazy, but we were better cuz derwin was not there. Just because staley started to simply the defense. Derwin is so good that staley wants to use him in a flashy way, but it complicates the defense and as a whole they start to perform worse. Staley just have to play lose and simple defense. With Derwin
DJ and bosa better get the suit on soon or the may see bench time. Defense looked great.

Allen said it perfectly in the post game interview it’s the FIRST time this season all 3 offense, defense and special teams play good and cohesive this win felt right we still blew a couple of red zone plays that we should’ve capitalized on but all good

Man, I love this for Herb, dudes done nothing ball continue to ball and never flinch even with all the Injuries and bad luck this season. He deserves to be in the MVP convo even if our record isn’t good bc he literally is our Team.
As hard we are on Staley and rightfully so this was a master class he called a hell of a game this was his best coaching performance by far especially with all the injuries just wow
