Staley might get too cute or stubborn in his ways with starters, singling Adams with no Renfrow or Waller is an example. Seems like he just simplified things and let em play ball
@Bl9ckde9th but that’s all they do. Which makes them one dimensional. Easier to stop the run when you know it’s coming 85-90% of the time. You’d think.

Just a perfect game all around. Aside from the long Tyreek touchdown, defense was flawless. Play calling was outstanding; not perfect, but we put the ball in Herbert’s hands and let him what he does best. Also, no injuries in this game, which is the last thing we need. Great game plan, coach Bolt up!! ⚡️⚡️

First game he coach well all season let’s see if he can be more consistent with the remaining games. Because up to this point before this game coach, Stanley, and Joe Lombardi only coached one of the half of a game unlike last nights game. It was a complete coaching game.

Take a look at the defensive concepts like #26 Asante Samuel Jr. lining up as tight, press coverage against the #1 receiver in the NFL Tyreek Hill (The Cheetah) and then blitzing off that coverage & releasing The Cheetah to the safety & pressuring the QB causing an incompletion. Incredible defensive calls & play all game!

This is easily the most complete game Staley has coached absolutely locked down on defense . And Herbert didn’t have time to throw but he had his weapons and Herbert just needs one or the other . Either time or weapons . Most players need both. But best feel good complete team win i can remember since the chiefs game last year in week 2 or 3

I feel that with Staley’s demeanor and the way he’s wording himself in this, you can tell there’s a different sense of urgency now. Seeming inspired and motivated by the outside now; even mentioning his staff too
The offense did a great job of ball control to give the defense a rest. Excellent game plan too for the defense to stop Miami.
