    Playing QB musical chairs for so long in Carolina affected his confidence. He knew he wasn’t 1st choice. He wasn’t named starter until 4 days before 1st game, & his last 2 games something was weighing on him. Coming to the Panthers so late, he should have been given more reps.
    He knew OC McAdoo wasn’t a fan from years ago, and obviously there were coaching issues in Carolina before he arrived, and seems they wanted to stick with PJ & Sam.
    Baker loved the Panthers team (those guys were great & he said he wanted to stay there) & became very close to Sam, PJ, & Matt in the QB room, and close ties with others.
    Ram’s HC Sean McVay is Baker’s 7th HC in 5 years. He admired Baker’s college play, but they were not in the market for a new QB at the time. He said he knew what Baker was capable of & felt he deserved a chance to redeem himself. He believed in him, spent time giving him as much help as he could as soon (along with other coaches& teammates, even Matt Stafford) after landing Tuesday nite, & that goes a long ways with Baker.
    McVay & Baker speak the same language going back to their shared Southwest flight to the Combines. They spent 3 hours talking ball & Baker drew out concepts for certain plays comparing his OU HC Lincoln Riley’s playbook with the NFL. McVay said he was impressed with Baker’s quick grasp on plays & ability to expand them, his confidence, photographic memory, & intelligence for high level thinking. He said Baker came up with plays to get down those 98 yards as the mike kept going out!
    Hopefully the Rams will be the rest of the story, but he is repairing his reputation. Always grateful the Panthers got him out of Dodge! 🙄👍🏈

Time for the rams to spoil the playoff hopes of the Packers and Seahawks. That is what I’m rooting for this year. We won’t be in the playoffs but I’m hoping we can keep other teams out of the playoffs as well. As a Rams fan for the last 20 years, I can look back and remember the times the Rams were horrible teams but randomly beat great playoff teams in the regular season. It’s a different type of excitement but it’s excitement none the less.
