no this has been happening for a while, it became very clear in the dolphins night game that we lost 10-22 because greg roman couldnt figure out how to stop one defensive play that didnt take much intelligence to stop at all
@Noa nah, I’m pretty sure that’s not it. Week 2 this year we destroyed the Dolphins in the 2nd qtr. Dolphins running 11 personnel shredded the Ravens defense in the 4th. Pass rush never got significant pressure to get Tua off his game. Lamar handled blitz zero well when he made the right read . We needed to take the easy points. That’s all. Not saying you can’t complain about play calls, but don’t sit there and say something without any analysis. So what are your play call answers now that we have two games of Dolphins v Ravens film? More heavy packages with Ricard, Boyle, Oliver in short yard situations now that we have JK and Gus back? More QB power read? More Duv in jet sweep? IDK give us something other than a bland, half baked comment you heard somewhere.
No excuses here. As pathetic as our secondary is I’d be surprised if the Broncos score over 17.

Same issues that have cost this team games for the last couple of years……..stop being overly aggressive with key decisions at big moments in the game…….how many failed 4th down attempts failed 2 point conversions reluctance to taking the almost guaranteed points with Justin Tucker have cost the ravens so many games in recent years……..if they had simply punted instead of giving the Jaguars the ball at midfield the Jaguars would have remained listless…….instead that gave the jags a jumpstart and a great opportunity to get into the game …….which they took full advantage of……but when the defense fails at the end the games the defense gets all of the blame……..help them by not helping your opponent….if the game is going in your favor and the defense is controlling the opponent dont change the course of that by giving the opponent the ball at midfield…..and dont deflate your team by driving down the field and coming away with no points after a failed 4th down attempt………..this team could so easily be 10 and 1 or 11 and 0…….if the defense was truly so bad the ravens would not have had the lead in almost all of the games they’ve played…….including their loses…….its not the defense….this is a pattern of bad coaching decisions that haven given opponents that were in most cases being dominated chances to change the course of these games and ultimately win them.
