Still prove to be great player today wasn’t our day but they be dominant No matter what game they played in win or lose

Kyle Ferguson

They let Patrick down today

    Nick Patrick

    The hole team did

    M. S.

Kielce, the offensive and defensive lines, Justin Reid all screwed it up.

    Corey

    @Nick Patrick *whole

All we gotta do is learn from a loss and get better for the playoffs

    southsider 35

The coaches never do that. This is just like the two matchups last year. This defense needs a complete overhaul, the entire secondary except McDuffie should not be on this team next year, and Karlaftis is looking like a flat out bust. They NEED to sign an elite pass rusher, Jones can’t do it by himself

    Dudebug

@lakeozarkrei3767  you’re making chiefs fans look bad, man. Just ignore him.

You said Mahomes is the best qb in football which is true. You didn’t say all time, which could be a debate. Move along now, yeah?

    Lake Ozark REI

@southsider 35  6 Rookies starting on defense… and our defensive DVOA ranks are better then last year. Dam glad your not the Chiefs coach… they’d be 3-14 this year with your knowledge.

    Dave Gave

@z_mehrtens31 no kc rams would say this bullshit

    z_mehrtens31

@Dave Gave it’s gonna be a Bills Eagles super bwol

kevin quach

We need to stop getting WR, and RB. We need to pick up DE, Pass Rusher, edge rusher. This loss hurt but we gotta move forward and focus on broncos

    Mark Hathaway

I like our defense but they still need work.

    Ron Skullie

    @Mark Hathaway what’s their to like😳.

    Reginald Lowery

Chiefs defense is truly young. It’s growing

    Ricardo Burton

Next season I only want to see them draft D players, no more rooks in the D back field, teams only win because they give up so many yards downfield!!

    Christian Hoffmann

We have like 6-7 integral pieces on our defense who are rookies and they still look decent on a weekly basis.

They will only get better as time goes on. McDuffie looked tremendous against 2 of the most physically gifted receivers in the league.

JDK K

Special Teams yet again let the chiefs down. It’s every game now. Time to keep the ball in Mahomes hands instead of FG attempts.

    henzonfox

All chief’s lost come down to bad turnovers, poor special teams, and no pressure on qb

mjamitche5

Chiefs coaching is going to have to figure this out. They can’t just say the players didn’t play well or they didn’t execute well when you are repeatedly loosing to the same team over and over again. Chiefs defense looked like they didn’t know what to do, and I don’t know what happened to our offensive line. They weren’t prepared. Also, there were a lot of penalties. Chiefs coaches need to plan better.

    Pay The Creator

@Dorian Gonzalez I would congratulate the winner. And do what is necessary to win the next time. Such as be more aggressive on both sides of the ball. Take more chances especially early. Pay more attention to holding on to the ball. And making a greater effort to strip the ball from the other team. And demanding for Patrick Mahomes to run the ball at least 8-12 times, if necessary, depending on how the game is playing out. My players would want to win as much or more than the opponent. And that would be evident. In conclusion, I would accept the loss, but never feel defeated. But I can respect how you would respond to the loss because that is your reaction to it.

    Pay The Creator

@Dorian Gonzalez The life lesson is It is not what happens to you but what you do about it. And how you let it effect you. I learned from observing closely and or up close. The great ones like Ali, Kobe, Mayweather, and Joe Montanna, that a little talent, the right attitude, commitment, and a burning desire, is everything it takes to be great. Why settle for less?

    Pay The Creator

And I’m pretty confident that the Chiefs are learning from the past and making the right adjustments and additions to get the results they are reaching for. So my attitude about their progress is great.

    Pay The Creator

@Scottie B The secondary won’t get better unless the pass rush does. Deon Sanders and Mel Blount wouldn’t be able to guard every stud receiver if their Qb has 5 or so seconds. This loss was on the coaches more than the players. Because the players were doing their part. But their part wasn’t effective. Time to make an adjustment. So on defense they needed to bring better disguised blitzes and or blitz more often. And on offense Patrick Mahomes should be mandated to run more than 2 times per game. Burrow gave Mahomes a lesson in courage and determination by running 11 times for 46 yards. Mahomes has to make the transition from a boy to a man at some point.

    Pay The Creator

And the coaches can help Mahomes make the transition by not playing so scary with him. He got a concussion going “head first” into a stacked defensive line on a 4th and 1 a couple years ago. The response to that should have been “don’t try to go head first” into a stacked up pile of players. Not forever be afraid to let him punish a defense by using his legs. The difference is if he’s scared tell him to keep sliding “legs first” to avoid contact. But don’t take the option for him to run completely out of the game plan. Especially in the post season. Because he’s leaving a few 20 and 30 yard game changing runs in his tool bag. And making the opponents game day and game plan far easier than it should be.

Delrick Turner

Butkner hasn’t been the same since his injury

    Nathan Scott

No he hasn’t. But it was a non-factor. Choosing to attempt the FG was the problem. Not the miss.

Even if he makes it? Then what? Tie game with 3+ minutes left vs. a QB our defense can’t stop when it matters most.

The worst case (likely) scenario if Butker makes the kick is Burrow milks the clock & gets them to (Once again) kick a walk off FG vs. Chiefs.

The best case scenario is that the defense would have been so bad they would have let them score quickly & get the ball back.

    Ultimately a lose-lose situation.

Josh Allen and the Bills can’t beat KC when it “counts”. Until they do? That is fact.

Mahomes & Chiefs can’t beat Burrow/Bengals at all. Until they do? That is fact.

    Pay The Creator

@Nathan Scott Here is the problem plan and simple. Take all three of the last three biggest losses. In order Bucs Super bowl Mahomes runs 5 times for 33 yards. AFC championship last season Mahomes runs 3 times for 19 yards.Today Mahomes runs 2 times for 9 yards. That is ten runs in 3 games. Joe Burrow ran 11 times today for 46 yards. That is just 1 game and he ran more times than Mahomes has in 3 games. The Niner’s back up QB Pardy ran 4 times today which is twice as much as Mahomes did. The more runs he has increases the odds one will be for 20 or 30 yards. And several of them will pick up critical 1st downs while chewing clock and resting the defense.

Afterthoughts of Solitude

Time to have someone compete with Butker for the kicker position. Mahomes couldn’t bail him out this time…

Tye Fabe

We got this Patty it’s all good. We always come back better every time. Get up, dust ourselves off, & get ready for next week. Chiefs Kingdom for life baby!

red royce

D line needs to get to the QB and hit him say 5 or 6 time in a game. Our O line tackles most of all need to step it up. Brown got beat with the speed rush to many time tonight. All that said I liked the game plan and Kelce fumble hurt but 19 out 20 times he makes the big play and never fumbles. It came down to as it does many time one or two plays and we win that game. Got to give it to the Bengals they played hard and the fans were into it making it hard on us. We still could easily get the one seed back. Just hold on and don’t get down to much. I also want to say our rookies in the back field played good tonight.

    White Whale

No matter what, they still give up plays in the big moments.

KC doesnt lack talent on D. They lack mettle. When the chips are down they fold like superman on laundry day.

Attempting the FG was a mistake. Even if butker makes it, KCs squishy D was going to let them go right down the field anyway. They never get the big late game stop. Even against the freaking colts.

    southsider 35

@White Whale Yeah, if Mahomes doesn’t get ball last in a close game, you can count on the Chiefs losing that game. Defense NEVER steps it up when it matters this year except for a fluke against the Raiders where Adams and Renfroe ran into each other. You can’t win championships that way. I can’t see this team getting it done this postseason. The Home AFC Championships streak is likely over

Westinian

every single time a guy from our DLINE would get around, Burrow would step right up the middle and run every time

Rebecca Lyle

We are the Champions, my friend. And, we will keep fighting till the end. We are the Champions, we are the Champions of the world. Good game, guys.

Dorian Gonzalez

Cmon man don’t let this happen again!! I trust you guys and you can do it next time

Christina Repp

I feel bad for him tonight. He looks frustrated. We are an awesome team guys.

    Celtic DW

    @Corey and you’re commenting why???

    Corey

@Celtic DW because I can and did

    Ju

@Corey you can’t wait for the downfall but it’s not coming anytime soon, hate on a teams press conference shows how badly you want to see the chiefs lose, keep waiting.

    InnerTubes

PM needs to use chameleon 👀 and be more aware of peripheral attacks. D linemen are just too dang fast now

    Corey

@InnerTubes nd mahomes is not really that elusive either

SH 991

We have a turnover problem to hear Nanz and Romo say we turned the ball over 7 straight games is crazy. The Chiefs are a good team this has to change. Special teams has been bad all season 1 hiccup every game. I know Butker is a top kicker but sometimes it doesn’t look that way.
They really did some good things on both sides of the ball and I’m optimistic about the team going forward.
I do hope we see the Bengals again even though we lost it looked as if they figured a few things out. We have to beat good teams.

Brett Da Threat

The Kelce fumble, the O Line letting the pocket collapse, and the way the defense played (horribly), was the difference makers in this game. Definitely need to reassess and come back better for next week and get ready for the post season. 👍🏼

8K Askew

Bengals just match up perfectly with what our defense does. We run only 3 defensive plays which is man blitz with 1 safety or cover 2 or 3. They have to much power on offense and spags just refuses to adjust his defense scheme. But this specific game is on the offense, Kelce fumbled, Orlando can’t block and Mahomes refuses to check down to the running back to keep the drive alive. Only issue on defense is our d-line cant get a sack vs the Bengals to save there mother if they wanted to. Hopefully we don’t got to play them in the playoffs😭😭

Bengals fan here, y’all played hard . That was a tough game. Mahomes is still incredible.

    Rye_Station

But Joey cool keeps besting us. I’m not going to take the win away from y’all but that s*** just be looking fishy to me but Kelsey did fumble the ball though

    ryan_michael 5.0

@Rye_Station you got 2 of the best young QBs in the league, sometimes teams don’t match up well. We both left point on the board . I think it’s a situation like us vs Cleveland, obviously we are a much better team then Cleveland but we can’t seem to beat them. We will see what happens facing Cleveland again. People underestimate Cincinnati though. I’m curious to see how we do against Josh Allen and the Bills.

    Jeff R

Bad penalties everytime. I can’t blame the refs so I’m blaming the team. STOP GETTING P.I. !

    ryan_michael 5.0

    @Jeff R for sure

Awest

Bengals fan here … I thought you guys played well … we left some points on the field and I honestly thought that was gonna cost us the game …
