“weve done it before, we can do it.” no we haven’t done it, no apparently we cant
ππ
@Vicente Cruz lmfaooo thatβs the reason now what a joke he is a below average game manager with clout
He meant getting in fg range β¦
@Fernanda Balderrama they rarely do that π
Next year they will be diff
He told his teammates with 23 seconds on the clock that “we’ve done this before. We can do it”? Since when?? The offense is dead last in EVERY category.
He’s not talking about winning the game. He’s not talking about making insane last second comeback drives. He’s talking about just getting into field goal range. We did it with about 30 seconds left right before the end of the half against Carolina last week. We got as far as we could and it didn’t end up the way we wanted in the end. I’m surprised our offense was even able to do that with how much we struggled the entire game.
@ColoradoSportsFan178 no my dude. He’s referring to doing things this offense hasn’t nearly been consistent at doing…moving the ball with efficiency. Our offense is just plain old terrible this season
@colorado yehti That’s basicaly what I said lol
I think he was talking about practice?
@Christian Gonzalez he dida good job completing that good pass to Jeudy. It was a winning play.
How can Carson Wentz have more TD passes than Russell Wilson and he hasn’t played in almost two months???
Iβve completed more passes myself this year than Russell Wilson. And Iβm married π
ππ
Russ’s interviews are like curtain calls, acknowledging and thanking everyone in the organization who participated in that loss.
And each curtain call has to include a “…it’s like I always tell the guys…” line.
πππ
He’s a machine. Very meticulated… everything sounds rehearsed
@Colbe Lewisletβs ride*
He sounds exactly the same as he did in Seattle. Except he won most of the games, so us Seahawks fans put up with it. But it was always an annoying Oscars speech with 22 thank yous in the post games even when certain guys (including him) played horribly. He doesn’t believe in talking negatively about himself or anyone else. Read the book: “It takes what it takes” – That is his entire philosophy. He’ll never let that go, and his best friend (who passed away last year), who wrote the book, is why Russell acts like this with the media, on the field, etc. Get used to it. Because these are his core values, like it or not.
Russ, let me correct you. It’s not “we need to do better.” Your receivers are actually open. Watch the tape. The correct phrase is “I need to do better.” I, I, I…your entire team is waiting for you to play your worth. Stop treating the post game presser like a curtain call. You stunk up the joint. Be poignant, admit you need to do better, and end the presser.
Actually you are incorrect…I watched the entire game and many of those plays were on his team mates to get the extra yardage along with folks dropping passes. He’s not perfect but this is a team sport not individual which many of you forget.
You just read the comments and summarized it in your own words. Russ needs to be better. The offense is collectively bad. No running game or offensive line. Kicker is missing a lot of FGs. Only thing consistent is the Defense.
@Matt Ryan I didn’t read the comments though. If my comment sounds similar it’s because we all see it. We all see the open receivers downfield, and Russ afraid to air it out. He knows he’ll underthrow them. His stats lie. His rating is high because he’s king of the check down. That’s why he has just 7 TDs to 5 INTs. Can’t get an interception if you throw to the line of scrimmage or a few yards beyond it. His contract is not for a Trent Dilfer. He needs to play his worth. He needs to play better.
I believe his days as an effective NFL QB are over.
Broncos are going to suffer a 10 year playoff drought because of this horrendous situation they put themselves in
Weβve already suffered a 7 year playoff drought
@Daniel Rodriquez yeah get ready for another decade of that
@Pumpkn yes!!!
The last few seasons have sucked but this one has been the toughest of all. Such high expectations.
Hi itβs your dad β οΈ6
Did Russ really say, “Turn this thing around”? The season’s over, dude. Losing teams don’t make the playoffs. Someone get this guy a clue before his feelings get hurt.
Turn it around and start learning how to win games. He know this season is over. It’s the worst season of his career. This season had a lot of unexpected obstacles. Lot of fragile injured players, a lot of bad luck.
I’m a Seahawks fan that still come to listen to his post game presser to see if it’s still as robotic as they were in Seattle. Never disappoints!!
He’s going to be more known for these robot cheesedick interviews than he will be for being good at the game.
Same
@noodkiller123 ….The Broncos record is 3-9 Russell Wilson never played on a team that had no shot at making the playoffs. His teams in his whole career were always in playoff contention.
@6971robi but they team has no shot at making the playoffs cause of Russ lol russ use to elevate the people around him like Baldwin and kearse now the issue is him. Almost every broncos fan and analysts thought all Denver needed was a qb to be a Super Bowl team and then they got the qb now they are worse then before
@noodkiller123 …..I’m a Eagles fan. I thought all the Broncos needed was a quarterback. I thought Russ would make the Broncos better. Had some people in Philadelphia wanted Russ for the Eagles. I didn’t
I wanted Hurts to get a chance and many other fans also. I didn’t think Russ played all that great in his last season with Seahawks.
At least he didnβt say,βLetβs Rideβ ππππ
The hits (losses) will keep coming. Just when you thought the sink was almost sank, a stark reminder that we still haven’t been swept by the Chiefs or Chargers.
What makes it worse for Russell is watching Geno ball out in Seattle and being mentioned as a MVP candidate. It’s like there is no silver lining for him in this disastrous season. Geno is on course to break a few of Russell’s single season records for the Hawks, that must hurt.
Seahawks are average 26 points per game this season. Denver is 13.8 if seattle had denvers defense theyd be undefeated
β@Jacob russ will never be that good again keep dreaming haha
@MysticShadow21 lol, just like geno will never be this good again after teams get more tape on him haha
@Jacob in the past but in the present he is betterπ
@christian de la concha π€£π€£. Ok with that thinking, baker mayfield is better than mahomes since he went down the field and had a wild play to win the game and mahomes lost last week.
“I don’t ever want to feel it again, so I am announcing my retirement effective immediately.” *Russell Wilson*
Even if he did, wouldn’t he still have the highest cap hit in NFL history?
You wish.
@Isaiah Morrison I believe if he were to retire today his guaranteed contract would be null and void after this season. I guess it depends upon the verbiage of the contract. But thatβs the most likely scenario otherwise he wouldβve just signed and quit.
He taking his 165m guaranteed with him though
@TooLate
It’s Walmart money, not ours.
The Broncos were huge rivals of the Seahawks for many years. Elway was so tough. Defeating the Broncos in the Super Bowl was fantastic. But trading them an old, fat washed-up phony like Russ for so much in return, was truly the Ultimate Victory.
Haha. Go Seahawks.
RIGHT ON!! Total payback for all of those shitty AFC West years when they owned us
At least his chin fat isnβt jiggling as much this year. At least broncos fans can look forward to that
With a healthy Javonte and a pragmatic offensive approach, the Broncos can be decent in 2023. Not division contenders, but at least respectable. Not what you’re looking for, but silver linings.
He his right about one thing that we have done it before. That before is doing nothing. I can’t imagine being a Bronco and having to listen to him in the locker room or on the sideline. I’m definitely sure they all have tuned him out.
I love his weekly lectures about what it takes to be a winner after losing every game
It’s because the broncos are just a below average team. Head coach needs to be fired. It’s a team effort and the whole team sucks.
Best defense in football, if we averaged atleast 18 points a game we’d be undefeated. What are you talking about
@GoldenStateSniper #QuickScope30Β all I hear is you saying that the defense let’s other teams get 18 points per game off of them. Just because you say they are the best defense doesn’t make it so.
@J B …..The coach and the quarterback are below average. The defense is a Superbowl caliber defense.
@GoldenStateSniper #QuickScope30 The Broncos been playing mediocre or below average teams. Kansas City is bombing yall
Broncos should of done their research. After he left the Hawks, we heard many former players come out and say how Russ wasn’t a leader and lost the confidence in the locker room. How players around him didn’t want to play for him, etc. When you are winning, that stuff gets swept under the rug, but when you are losing, a light really shines on that issue.
I am a broncos fan and we didnβt get the season we expected but we cannot just not back up our QB and the team..
Itβs frustrating none the less but we need to be supportive.. Russel can do this and calling him s*%# every day is not going to help anyoneβ¦
This seasons a loss no doubt but we need to be supportive
Man I feel hella bad for him you can tell everyone has hate towards him because of this season bro is gonna prove em wrong
