The makeover took place 4 games later than it should have. Did you mention the 363 yards rushing by the Eagles, Larry?
I watched the film in slow motion. Rudy is amazing. Nixon is fantastic. Quay Walker is tough. But I consistently noticed Adrian Amos missing tackles. He isn’t hustling to the ball. He can barely make a solo tackle. Very disappointed in him. I also noticed Jalen Hurts taking the snap in shotgun and quickly moving backwards to Bait our defense into spreading out. Our defense should have stayed tight, held their scrimmage line, and forced him to the sidelines. Instead, he spread us out and shot thru the gaps right up the middle. We have to show more poise and stop swimming to the outside!
I counted 5-6 missed tackles at or behind line of scrimmage by Quay vs the Eagles, all went for big gains.
I am getting happier with our secondary. It’s the Dline that is troubling.
