It surprises me that coaches at every level of football have their punters
try and punt from extremely deep in their own territory,
even when there is no logical reason to do that.
This happens in HS, college and the NFL much more frequently
than I would expect it to, because it seldom makes any sense.
When you are winning 21 – 0 , and have the ball on 4th down on your own 2 YL,
it is incredibly stupid to ask your punter to try and punt the ball.
That will almost always result in a TD or FG for the other team
and it will also not take any time off the clock.
It makes infinitely more sense to just take a safety and concede 2 points
and have your team kick off from the 20 YL without risking
a blocked punt, a hurried poor punt and/or an injury to your punter.

Hopefully our coaching staff will learn something from their blunder last Sunday.
The only time it makes any sense to punt under these circumstances
is when you are winning by 1 point and you don’t have enough time to get
the ball back.

@Julian J They gave it to Lamar in year two. Mahomes has 11 picks to Hurts 3 (2 of which hit his receiver in the hands). Hurts has 32 total TD to Mahomes 35, and Hurts has about 400 total yards less than Mahomes. Mahomes only gets it because he has more experience and a ‘better’ arm? Hurts has a 3% higher completion rate and they have the exact same 8.1 yards per attempt average.

Eagles have earned their playoff berth and I will fear that matchup if that Super Bowl does happen. It would be a great one though.

Not enough has been said about how they respect their opponents. That doesn’t even happen these days and as you jus said they’re the best and still do nothing but repect their opponents this is two games in a row the 4th quarter was played with backups….

Transfer to OU and balls out. Coach riley let him fly.

Word is that the owner wanted them to draft Hurts and management had no choice in the matter. Looks like it paid off.

Giants started off good at 6-1, but then the injuries have since piled up.

At this point, they’ll be lucky if they get a wild card.
Same with the Jets, they had potential for the playoffs but that’s not so much a given either now

@Ryan Blanche I’d prefer not making playoffs at all, 8-9 would be fine. We really need a Wr and we don’t have the cap to even afford Odell. Take a receiver in the first a Corner in the second, and then figure out the ILB situation.
